Overview[edit]
OVERTURE is Obey Me!'s first 3D virtual concert, which originally took place on July 5th, 2024 at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, USA. The hour-long concert was also a streaming event. Merchandise using art from the concert's key visual was also sold, and the day after the concert took place, the Overture Set List Album released.
Leading up the concert, video messages were released by voice actors Kazuya Yamashita (Lucifer), Hirotaka Kobayashi (Mammon), Satoshi Kada (Leviathan), Shinya Sumi (Satan), Miura Ayme (Asmodeus), Kyohei Yaguchi (Beelzebub), and Satoshi Onishi (Belphegor).
As stated in an official tweet from the company Solid Cube, "The choreography for all songs was done by the choreography team 'TRIxT,' consisting of three members of our company: Murakami Masaki, Okuyama Takato, and Ara Maimi."
Anime Expo Screening[edit]
In-person tickets to watch the virtual concert at Anime Expo in July were sold by Showclix. Participants in the event were able to "see [their] beloved demon brothers, Lucifer, Mammon, Leviathan, Satan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub, and Belphegor, take to the stage at The Novo to sing their chart-topping hits." The concert began at 4:30 p.m. PDT and lasted for an hour.
Ikebukuro HUMAX Screening[edit]
After the original OVERTURE event, the virtual concert was screened at Ikebukuro HUMAX on October 26, 2024. After the screening, there was a special performance event and a Q&A session hosted by all of the voice actors of the seven demon brothers. Tickets for in-person viewing were sold on the Ikebukuro HUMAX website.
Streaming and VOD[edit]
Anime Expo Streaming[edit]
Streaming tickets for the original Anime Expo OVERTURE event were sold by SPWN, with an option to change SPWN's site language to English in the top-right corner. Those who purchased streaming tickets also had access to the Archive VOD on the SPWN website until July 13th, 2024. Archive tickets to watch the concert's VOD were also available to purchase on the SPWN website from July 5th until August 5th, 2024.
Ikebukuro HUMAX Streaming[edit]
Streaming tickets and Archive tickets for the Ikebukuro HUMAX OVERTURE event are also sold by SPWN. Both the 3D concert and the special "Obey Me! Boys Q&A Session" with the voice actors afterwards are included in the stream and VOD. Those who purchased streaming tickets also have access to the Archive VOD on the SPWN website.
When the event was live, subtitles were not be available for the "Obey Me! Boys Q&A Session" during the livestream. However, subtitles for the event will be added to the archive VOD on November 11th. Because of this, the one week period during which the VOD can be accessed has been increased to two weeks (336 hours).
