"Known in the Devildom for being Diavolo's close friend and right-hand man. He is the oldest of the 7 demon brothers. He keeps the brothers together, by force if necessary."
— Lucifer's Student ID
Lucifer is a demon whose first appearance in Obey Me!'s Main Story and Nightbringer's Main Story was in Lesson 1-1. He has six brothers, and as the most powerful of the seven, he holds the title of "first-born." He also possesses the title "Avatar of Pride" and is a representative of that sin. As one of the main characters in both Obey Me! and Nightbringer, he is included in both games' Intimacy system.
Appearance[edit]
Lucifer has short, black hair with a part on the left side, and pale skin. His eyes are a gradient of black and carmine red, and while often hidden by his gloves, his nails are also painted carmine red. They are kept so by Asmodeus, as he mentioned in Lesson 37-12 (OM). He has painted Lucifer's nails for him since before the brothers' fall into the Devildom.
As seen in the official height chart, Lucifer is the second-tallest of the seven brothers, only slightly shorter than Beelzebub.
RAD Uniform
Lucifer's RAD Uniform is the typical charcoal grey jacket with gold accents, matching charcoal-colored pants with red stripes along the sides, and a red-bordered belt. His jacket, however, is noticeably longer than the standard, and reaches past his knees.
The shirt he wears beneath said jacket is not the standard teal color, but black with a stand-up collar. The shirt has seven visible buttons that are ringed with gold, and all are black save the second button from the top, which is red. He wears a pair of blue-black gloves, and his leather shoes are the standard charcoal grey.
Lucifer's School Uniform is an available outfit in Majolish. In Obey Me!, it is unlocked by default. In Nightbringer, it can be obtained by unlocking the Devil's Tree "Clothing" space in the Demon Card The Avatar of Pride.Lucifer's RAD Uniform is the typical charcoal grey jacket with gold accents, matching charcoal-colored pants with red stripes along the sides, and a red-bordered belt. Lucifer's demon look was first revealed in Lesson 4-4 of Obey Me!'s Main Story, and was the second demon appearance to be seen by MC. In Nightbringer, it is his standard appearance. In this form, Lucifer has a pair of black horns with a segmented pattern that curve outward from the sides of his head, and end pointing up and outward above his head.
Lucifer also has two pairs of black, feathered wings on his back, the lower pair being larger than the upper. The upper pair have their base beneath his shoulders, while the lower pair begin just above Lucifer's hips.
When in his demon form, Lucifer has a black, diamond-shaped marking in the center of his forehead.
Lucifer's outfit when in demon form consists of a charcoal grey tailcoat with a standing collar and red underside, charcoal grey pants, a black capelet with a red underside, and black shoes. The capelet and tailcoat are both decorated with peacock feather symbols, as is the necklace he wears. Lucifer also wears a pair of red gloves, and a decorative gold chain belt.

Lucifer was first seen wearing his everyday clothes in Lesson 2-15 of Obey Me!'s Main Story. The outfit consists of a charcoal grey shirt with white cuffs under a burgundy red and black waistcoat. Said waistcoat has six silver buttons, and the bottom-right button is left undone. At his neck, Lucifer wears a blood red tie.
His pants are black, and at his waist is a loosely tied, decorative gold rope with a geometric diamond pattern. The coat he wears over his shoulders is gunmetal grey, and also has a geometric diamond pattern on the granite grey interior. The front of the coat is lined with pale silver fur, and the coat's popped collar is white, despite the coat's cuffs being champagne brown. Lucifer also wears a pair of black gloves, and his shoes are a dark brown leather.

Lucifer was first seen in his Human World look in Lesson 41-19 of Obey Me!'s Main Story. The outfit consists of a dark grey turtleneck shirt with a long, pinstripe patterned navy blue and dark blue coat worn over Lucifer's shoulders. The coat has a light grey lining.
His pants are also dark grey, and he has a black belt with a silver buckle, matching his black boots with silver buckles. He also has a silver watch around his left wrist, and around his neck is a simple necklace with a thin, silver pendant. Lucifer's nails are also painted their usual red.
While normally Lucifer does not wear glasses, he has a pair of black-framed glasses with this outfit. They are not simply decorative, as according to Issue 6 of the RAD Newspaper, Lucifer purchased them because he "[has] to look at a lot of documents, so they really help." Given that the chats He Looks Hot and The Beauty of Glasses 4 also included CGs of Lucifer wearing glasses while reading, it seems likely that Lucifer has a need to use reading glasses at times. Lucifer also mentioned looking for his missing glasses in the chat The Search Begins.

As the first-born of the seven brothers, a member of RAD's student council, and the right-hand man of Lord Diavolo, Lucifer sees himself — accurately — as a symbol of authority. He is always mindful of his position when it comes to his behavior, and holds both himself and his actions to a very high standard.
Even when Lucifer doesn't want to do something, he takes the task seriously and does his best to give exemplary results. This is a situation he often finds himself in due to his loyalty to Diavolo. The demon prince often makes requests of Lucifer that he'd rather have no part in, but even if he complains, Lucifer still does his best to make his centuries-long friend happy.
An example of one such situation is in the Pop Quiz Ruri-chan Is My Bae, when Diavolo asked him to both hand out flyers and write a report about the Ruri-chan-themed foods that will be given to all of the RAD students. Despite him considering the whole affair ridiculous, he still wrote the report in a formal and proper manner.
As an angel, Lucifer used to speak quite harshly, bordering on rude in some instances, but was still very direct and honest about his feelings.(source?) After the fall, his behavior changed so that he typically acts calm and rational. Asmodeus mentioned in Lesson 37-11 (OM) that he thinks this is a front Lucifer puts up so that everyone will think he's perfect.
Lucifer holds the title "Avatar of Pride" for good reason, as his pride refuses to let him be seen as anything other than perfect. This is true even when it comes to minor details, such as in Lesson 7 (OM), when everyone is invited to take part in a retreat at the Demon Lord's Castle. Lucifer rushed both MC and his brothers in getting ready, and insisted that they leave as soon as possible. This is so they would be the first to arrive at the castle, and be present before those staying at Purgatory Hall.
These very high standards that Lucifer sets for himself extend to his brothers as well. This fact often leads to him feeling stressed out and frustrated when his siblings fail to meet said standards. As mentioned by Belphegor in Lesson 37-1 (OM), Lucifer is prone to having headaches, which he frequently blames on having to deal with his brothers' antics.
Lucifer is quick to both threaten and dole out punishments to those who defy him or disappoint him, as his brothers — especially Mammon — can attest to. This dynamic is seen from the very beginning in Lesson 1-3 (OM), when Lucifer threatens to punch Mammon if he doesn't be quiet, but doesn't give him time to listen before punching him.
Despite his frequent punishments, however, Lucifer truly does love all of his brothers. He has difficulty showing it, especially in public settings, and even tries to deny caring for his brothers when it's brought up, as he did in the Devilgram Being the Oldest. Lucifer typically chooses to show he cares for his brothers in subtle ways, such as when he bought Mammon a chocolate lizard keychain in Lesson 11-10 (OM), or by staying up all night to give all his brothers Christmas presents in the Devilgram Big Brother Santa Claus.
Lucifer is generally well-liked by the public, but — as he mentioned in the Devilgram Lucifer's Lover — he has no desire to be popular. This attitude is evident in the chat Identity, when Satan and Belphegor stumbled across his DevilTube channel. They did not know it was Lucifer because Lucifer hid his identity, posting under the pseudonym "Masked DevilTuber." He presumably told stories on this channel, but stopped posting after a week.
Lucifer also seems to be the type of person to hold onto objects for sentimental value. In the chat Ticket Stubs 1, Lucifer claimed that he does not hold onto his ticket stubs after an event. However, in the subsequent chat — Ticket Stubs 2 — Simeon accused Lucifer of lying about this. He also asked Lucifer if he had kept the portrait his brothers made of him in art class, which Lucifer did not deny. In Lesson 13 (OM), Satan said that he had assumed the attic was where Lucifer kept "sentimental treasures" from the Celestial Realm.
Preferences[edit]
Likes[edit]
- As stated in Issue 5 of the RAD Newspaper, Lucifer loves classical music, especially cursed records.
- He has an extensive collection of records, and in the Devilgram for Piano Timbre for You, it is stated that he visits a music shop regularly to buy them.
- In the same Devilgram, he told MC that he only listens to older music, and is not familiar with what's popular.
- In the chat Let's Form a Band 3, it was revealed that Lucifer may also enjoy metal and pop rock.
- Mammon thought that Lucifer would vote with him for a metal band and Lucifer agrees that he doesn't dislike metal.
- Lucifer ended up voting for the brothers to form a pop rock band.
- He's very passionate about theatre, as seen in Seven Rulers of Hell.
- After watching a good play, he is likely to ramble and quote his favorite parts, even if the person he's conversing with doesn't share his enthusiasm.
- While comedy is not a genre Lucifer makes an effort to watch, he does find the plays "Mystical Brother", "After-School Demons", and "Demon Busters" reasonably funny.
- Lucifer seems to be a fan of thriller movies, and calls them "a good way to kill some time" in one of his Home Screen dialogues.
- Lucifer prefers his tea on the stronger side, as Barbatos mentioned in Lesson 65-A (OM).
- In the chat Tea Demons Spilling the Tea, Lucifer mentioned that he prefers tea leaves that are grown in ground that has been covered by solidified volcanic lava because this amplifies the leaves' natural sweetness.
- In the chat Mixing Drinks, Lucifer mentioned that a combination of bitter ooling tea, black tea, and shadow coffee is delicious.
- Lucifer considers himself a "Demonus enthusiast," and in his phone call It's a Date (Lucifer), he credited his like of the drink to Diavolo.
- When it comes to pancake toppings, Lucifer enjoys his pancakes with magma butter, as he says in a Home Screen dialogue.
- He prefers harder bread as opposed to soft bread, and in Lesson 57-17 Hard (OM) said the reason for that is hard bread "gives you something to chew on."
- He has stated that his "type" is someone that is "pure, genuine, and worthy of respect", though he was actually describing a soul instead of a person.(source?)
- Out of the four seasons, Lucifer likes spring the most, as he states in one of his Home Screen dialogues.
- In the chat A Gentleman's Hobby, he expressed a fondness for work that requires precision.
- He enjoys studying mechanical structures and understanding how they work, as seen in the Devilgram To the Exhibition.
- This interest is why he often suggests touring factories while on trips, as he did in both the Special Episode and Season 1, Episode 11 of the anime.
Dislikes[edit]
- As mentioned in the chat Let's Form a Band 2 Lucifer dislikes technopop.
- He referred to it as "cacophonous bleep-bloop music."
- As shown in the chat The Modern Art Piece, Lucifer doesn't like modern art. When Satan purchased a "canvas with splashed of colorful paint" to display in their entrance hall, Lucifer threw it out because he thought it was rubbish.
- Lucifer is not overly fond of sweet foods, as Barbatos mentioned in the Devilgram The Sweet Demon.
- Lucifer also complained at how sweet his drink was in the Devilgram A Gift From Diavolo when Diavolo insisted he try ordering a drink with extra whipped cream.
- In one of his Home Screen Dialogues, Lucifer states that he's not a morning demon.
- In the Devilgram Asmo, the Recluse?, Leviathan mentioned that Lucifer was immediately in a terrible mood after the brothers realized that they will likely not be able to bathe for a week due to their bathtub faucet being broken.
Talents and Skills[edit]
- As seen in the Devilgrams Lucifer the Demon of Rock and Piano Timbre for You, Lucifer is skilled in playing multiple instruments.
- These include the piano, violin, guitar, and the drums.
- Lucifer apparently has a talent for speech-giving, as Mephistopheles mentioned in the chat Fed Up With Lucifer that Lucifer had "yet again" won RAD's speech contest.
- In the chat Let's Go for a Drive! 2, Lucifer mentioned that he knows how to drive.

Powers and Abilities[edit]
Lucifer is the most powerful of the demon brothers and the Avatar of Pride. According to Satan in Lesson 9-7 (OM), he was given the rank of eldest amongst his brothers by the Demon King due to his immense demonic and magical powers. He has the ability to easily dispel most curses as mentioned on several occasions, one example being in the Devilgram The Flower of Love. However, Lucifer is unable to reverse the effects of magic originating from the Celestial Realm, as shown in the Pop Quizzes Paws and Claws and Angelic Demons. However, he is still capable of resisting some of the effects from said magic. For example, in the Paws and Claws Pop Quiz, Lucifer was able to maintain his self-control after eating a potion-laced cake that gave him animal traits and instincts.
Lucifer has also demonstrated having great physical strength in Lesson 8-19 (OM). During a pillow fight in the Demon Lord's Castle, after losing his cool, he was able to bore a hole through one of the beds just by throwing a pillow.
In the Date Lucifer Love, it was shown that Lucifer is capable of at least minor healing magic. This is possibly an anomaly among demons, who do not typically seem capable of healing magic.
Story[edit]
Background[edit]
Lucifer and his brothers used to be angels who lived in the Celestial Realm, as Mammon stated in Lesson 5-10 (OM). Lucifer held the rank of Seraph, as mentioned in Lesson 44-10 (OM). He was also known as "The Morning Star," which Beelzebub explained in Lesson 6-1 (OM).
An incident regarding his youngest sister Lilith - who broke a rule from the Celestial Realm by giving food from their world to a human she fell in love with - led their Father to make the decision to have her obliterated.(source?) This made Lucifer furious, and his attempts to stop this eventually lead to a conflict that would become known as the Great Celestial War. Lucifer and his siblings lost this conflict, and after being banished from the Celestial Realm, they landed in the Devildom.
It was then when Lucifer, overtaken by his wrath and his hatred towards their Father, tore away his former six angel wings, which resulted in Satan's birth. This is mentioned by Luke in the main story, and in Satan's Devilgram The Search for Self.
Lilith was severely injured and had no chance of surviving after being attacked in the War. Already in the Devildom, Lucifer begged Diavolo to save her life.(source?) Diavolo said that the most he could do would be to make her start again by reincarnating her into a human, but Lucifer and his brothers would never be able to go see her and remind her of her past life. In return for the risk of interfering with the Celestial Realm's judgment, Lucifer would also have to pledge absolute loyalty to Diavolo, to which he agreed.(source?)
Lilith was born again as a human, and Lucifer and his brothers transformed into demons. Lucifer thought it was best for his brothers not to know about Lilith's real destiny since they would have to live with the pain of not being able to ever see her again, so he suffered the truth in silence all by himself, letting his brothers believe Lilith died as an angel.(source?)
The war and subsequent loss of his sister soured his relationship with his past home; his greatest fear is dying and ascending back to the Celestial Realm, as he stated in Satan's Devilgram Be You.
Obey Me!'s Main Story[edit]
Lessons 1-10[edit]
Lesson 1[edit]
Upon MC's arrival in the Devildom, Lucifer was the second demon to interact with them. After being introduced by Lord Diavolo, he welcomed MC to RAD, explained why MC was there, and handed them a D.D.D. to use during their stay. After he instructed MC to call Mammon, who would be taking care of them, he introduced his other brothers, minus Leviathan and Belphegor.
After Mammon showed up, Lucifer told him that he would be protecting MC during their year in the Devildom. That done, he moved on to explaining MC's tasks as an exchange student. Because MC had no magic, Lucifer and his brothers would temporarily lend their powers to MC while assisting in their tasks via dance battles. Once explanations were finished, Lucifer sent MC off with Mammon to the House of Lamentation.
Lesson 2[edit]
Lucifer encountered MC in RAD's hallways the next day after MC had a run-in with Solomon. He warned MC that while Solomon was another human exchange student, he could not be trusted. Going off Leviathan's advice, MC tried to get information out of Lucifer as to where he'd hidden Mammon's credit card. Lucifer gave them a hint to help them, and then at breakfast the next morning, complimented MC for forging a pact with Mammon. An embarrassed Mammon then dragged MC away.
Lesson 3[edit]
After MC was introduced to Barbatos, Simeon, and Luke at RAD, that night Lucifer caught MC trying to take the stairs to the attic where Belphegor was being kept. He instructed MC to never go up there, and MC returned to their room. However, he caught them back at the staircase the next night and warned them away again. MC then challenged Leviathan to a "TSL Quiz" with Diavolo judging, so Lucifer observed the event as well.
Lesson 4[edit]
Lucifer was forced to step in during the TSL Quiz when MC pulled out a trump card that caused an enraged Leviathan to charge at them. Lucifer protected MC and told Leviathan to go to his room. The TSL quiz then ended in a draw.
Later that night, MC visited Lucifer in his room and gave him the TSL Soundtrack he had wanted to listen to. Lucifer then intentionally told MC that he would not leave his room that night, as he would be busy listening to the record. The next morning, he knew that MC went up to the attic, but assumed they found nothing, as the door to Belphegor's room could only be seen by demons.
Lesson 5[edit]
MC was involved in another incident of angering one of Lucifer's brothers after Mammon convinced them to eat Beelzebub's custard. The result was the House of Lamentation's kitchen being destroyed. MC's room was also damaged, as the two rooms shared a wall. Mammon, Beelzebub, and MC were all given a lecture, and MC was told to stay in Beelzebub's room until theirs was restored.
The next morning, Beelzebub talked to Lucifer about Belphegor being in the Human World. He asked to trade places with him, but Lucifer refused. Sometime later, Lucifer visited Beelzebub's room for a "surprise inspection." He didn't find anything then, but the next day, he discovered Luke in the underground tomb with a grimoire in his hands and learned he got there from Beelzebub's room.
Lesson 6[edit]
Mammon called MC and Beelzebub to come try and help calm Lucifer down. MC stood between Lucifer, Luke, and Beelzebub, so Lucifer asked MC to choose to save only one of them. However, they insisted on protecting both. Fortunately for their sake, Diavolo showed up to prevent Lucifer from attacking them.
After this, Lucifer apologized to Diavolo for putting the exchange program at risk. Then after breakfast the next day, Lucifer also met with MC and apologized to them. He also warned them that they needed to "stop sticking their nose where it doesn't belong."
Later at RAD, Diavolo announced in a student council meeting that there was going to be a retreat held at the Demon Lord's Castle.
Lesson 7[edit]
The next morning in the entrance hall of the House of Lamentation, Lucifer interrupted a conversation between his brothers and MC regarding their excitement and preparations for the retreat. He hurried them along so that they could beat Solomon and the angels to the Demon Lord's Castle. They did arrive first, which Mammon commented on, and which earned him a stomped foot from his older brother.
Once the final three participants arrived at the castle, Barbatos explained how the retreat would work, and assigned everyone rooms. Lucifer was assigned to share a room with Diavolo, much to his surprise, considering Diavolo had his own room. In the spirit of the retreat, however, he didn't protest further. After Mammon argued about the room assignments, Lucifer ended said argument and sent everyone off to their rooms, something that took pulling Mammon's ear to get him moving on.
After taking their belongings to their assigned rooms, everyone met back in the main hall. Mammon let slip that he and Solomon had some nefarious plans for their time at the castle. Of course, Lucifer overheard him and told Mammon that he expected him to come to his room later. Lucifer took another jab at Mammon when Little D. No. 2 showed up and commented that the little demon was much more helpful than another "number two," referring to Mammon.
During their tour, Lucifer corrected Little D. No. 2 about an item and explained that when he first arrived in the Devildom, Diavolo spent hours explaining all of the items in the castle to him. Further into the tour, Diavolo happily recalled meeting Lucifer for the first time, and how awe-inspiring and magnificent he was. He also strangely seemed pleased to remember how Lucifer wouldn't even shake his hand when they first met, which surprised nearly everyone.
After a scorned witch named Helene pulled Asmodeus and half of the group into a portrait, Lucifer and the remaining others decided to continue their tour without them. He assured the other half of the group that because Beelzebub was with them, they would find a way out by dinnertime.
Later at dinner, the missing party found their way out, and Lucifer lamented that it would have been quieter if they stayed missing longer. Later that night, Mammon attempted to start a pillow fight in MC's room, but Lucifer walked in on them. He had received word of an attempted break-in to the castle vault that he correctly assumed was Mammon, and dragged his brother off for a lecture with Diavolo.
Lesson 8[edit]
The next morning, Lucifer attempted to explain to everyone the plan for the day but was interrupted by a side conversation about what may have happened in the room he shared with Diavolo during Mammon's lecture the night before. He then informed everyone that they would be tasked with completing a scavenger hunt. A riddle would be given, and using their knowledge from the tour the day before, they would have to take a picture of the historical piece the riddle was about.
Later that night at dinner, Lucifer interrupted MC's reminiscing on Asmodeus's challenge of sneaking a picture of Lucifer sleeping to get a pact with them. He then deflected their probing question about where his room in the castle was. Once dinner was finished, the dance portion of the night began, and Lucifer insisted MC dance with him. He told MC that the reason he wanted to dance with them was so that they could have a private conversation, then demanded to know what they were plotting with Asmodeus. Before they could answer, Lucifer threatened that he would show no mercy to them if they were a threat to Diavolo or his brothers. He punctuated this threat by holding MC very tightly against him, to the point of being painful. Solomon then cut in, and Lucifer let MC go, saying he had made his point clear.
Later, after a failed attempt to photograph his sleeping face, Lucifer chastised those involved for getting themselves into trouble again. He explained that the door to his room was cursed so that anyone who tried to enter without knocking would be transported to Cerberus's room instead. He turned his attention to Solomon for letting MC borrow his magic but was cut off when Asmodeus suddenly announced that he was going to make a pact with MC. Lucifer was unhappy about this but didn't say anything further.
When an argument broke out in the shared room of Asmodeus, Simeon, and MC, the commotion brought everyone else to the room, including Lucifer. When Mammon accidentally hit Diavolo with a pillow, Lucifer avenged him with a pillow aimed back at Mammon. With the help of Diavolo, he then aimed at everyone else next.
After the pillow fight, everyone else had gone to bed except Lucifer and Diavolo, who were outside by the lake. Diavolo asked Lucifer why he was sighing, before trying to convince him that he had fun with the pillow fight. Lucifer explained his concerns about MC making pacts with so many of his brothers and asked why Diavolo had chosen that particular human for the exchange program. Diavolo didn't see it as a problem and even said that humans and demons bonding was part of his plan, after all.
After staying up later than the others with their talk, Lucifer and Diavolo did not join everyone for the Human World brunch the next day.
Lesson 9[edit]
After the retreat, and back at the House of Lamentation, Lucifer quietly walked in on a conversation between MC and his brothers. They asked MC why they were interested in making pacts with so many of them. To everyone's surprise, MC answered that they wanted to earn Lucifer's respect. When Mammon and Satan asked why they would want that, Lucifer joined in on this line of questioning. Before MC could explain themselves further, Satan announced that he was going to make a pact with MC as well.
When Satan explained that his sudden interest in making a pact was to make life hard for "a certain someone," Lucifer became angry, and asked Satan if he truly disliked him that much. Satan returned the question by asking if he truly thought he liked him at all. Becoming angrier still, Lucifer demanded Satan leave the house, which — after more arguing and an attempted intervention from MC and Mammon — he happily did.
During a conversation in MC's bedroom that Lucifer was absent from, the other brothers explained that during a huge fight with their father, Lucifer became so angry that Satan was born from his wrath. They further explained that even though they all helped Satan grow into who he is, Lucifer was the biggest influence, making them very similar, and often resulting in explosive arguments.
Later in Satan's bedroom, Lucifer rushed in to protect MC from Satan, who had become extremely angry after they rejected his request to form a pact. Lucifer told Satan that he would not allow him to harm a student from Diavolo's exchange program. The mention of Diavolo enraged Satan further, as did Lucifer's attempt to calm him by instructing him to not give in to his rage. Satan implied that such a statement was hypocritical coming from Lucifer. Books began to magically fly between the two of them in a fight, but suddenly the Forbidden Book was added to the mix, and both demons laid their hand on it, which resulted in a switching of bodies.
Lucifer, in Satan's body, was confused to find himself looking at himself but quickly determined that the book he had caught, and Satan tried to take from him, was one that caused them to swap bodies. They went to the music room where they explained to the other brothers the nature of the situation. Satan, in Lucifer's body, started to do some impressions of Lucifer that caused the brothers to laugh. They checked the literature on the book and found that it lasted for several days. After Leviathan expressed jealousy that they would be able to skip classes in the meantime, Lucifer shot back that they would still attend classes as not to alert Diavolo to the issue.
Due to the damage that Satan could do while in Lucifer's body, Lucifer demanded that Satan stay by his side at all times until they were back to normal. To ensure this, he told Satan that he would have to stay in his room in the meantime, but Satan refused this. After the other brothers chimed in about staying or not staying in their rooms, it was eventually decided they would stay in MC's room until they were back to normal.
Lucifer held a meeting in MC's bedroom to lay down some ground rules with Satan for the time they spent in each other's bodies. Mammon and Asmodeus also attended and attempted to cause some trouble with Satan and Lucifer's body. The following day at RAD, the swapped brothers immediately ran into Diavolo who asked why Lucifer had not come to the assembly that morning. Satan quickly made it clear that he was himself in Lucifer's body, which prompted Diavolo to ask about the circumstances.
Through Diavolo, he is reminded that he was to give a speech to the whole student body on the current state of the exchange program, which would occur before they would switch back bodies. Lucifer discussed his concerns about having Satan do the speech in his body with MC. He stated that normally he would trust him the most, as they were the most similar, but with a chance to ruin his reputation in his body, he was less sure.
Later in MC's bedroom, Leviathan and Beelzebub hung out with Satan as he took advantage of being in Lucifer's body to say strange things. When asked why they were there by Lucifer, they had let it slip that Mammon and Satan were taking advantage of being more powerful than Lucifer while in Satan's body to get up to no good. Lucifer bribed Beelzebub to fetch Mammon and string him up. Lucifer and Satan then argued about who gets the bed and eventually fell asleep but proceeded to talk in their sleep which kept MC up.
Lesson 10[edit]
Lucifer was pulled into the virtual world of a dating sim called Dogi✩Maji✩Memorium. Inside he found that the curse that caused him to swap bodies with Satan was temporarily nullified. He and Satan quickly found Leviathan, Mammon, and MC in a classroom and correctly assumed they were the culprits for the current situation, so he demanded answers from them. Leviathan explained to the others what they had to do to win the game and return to their world. He had made MC the heroine, meaning everyone had to compete to increase their intimacy score with MC and get them to accept a love confession. Satan jumped at the chance to compete against Lucifer, but Lucifer stated that he would not lose to the likes of him. They all proclaimed they would win over MC and win the game.
During an in-game class, MC asked Mammon where Lucifer was to learn that he had snuck up to the roof. MC climbed to the roof to find he had been napping on a bench on the roof. He noted their surprise at seeing him skip class and told them that with a Diavolo in this world to worry about disgracing he felt no pressure to not skip class if he wanted to. As a result, MC could choose to declare that interaction as resulting in his intimacy score going up or down.
On the final day of the game, it turned into a monster survival game. After they defeated all the monsters, the final boss spawned on the rooftop, which turned out to be Cerberus. At first, Lucifer was not able to tame him, but after seeing Cerberus about to attack Satan, Lucifer was able to successfully tame him, after he hurled a string of censored threats at him, and the game ended.
Back in Leviathan's bedroom, Lucifer found himself back in Satan's body. Leviathan suggested they stay in the game until they changed back in the real world. After Mammon pointed out that that idea was not a good one as Cerberus could attack them again, Satan surprisingly stated that he wouldn't be worried as he would have Lucifer with him. When Lucifer offered to teach him how to tame Cerberus Satan continued to surprise and compliment Lucifer by saying that was something only he could do, but perhaps he could since he was once a part of him, something he previously hated to be reminded of.

Nightbringer's Main Story[edit]
Lessons 1-10[edit]
Lesson 1[edit]
After Diavolo found an unconscious MC in RAD's council room, Diavolo proceeded to introduce himself and Lucifer, who simply glared at MC distrustfully. The other brothers were then introduced, but when Diavolo reached Satan, he could be heard outside the room rampaging.
Lucifer asked if Asmodeus made sure the chains meant to hold Satan were tight enough, but to his annoyance, his younger brother was more concerned about his "beautiful hands." Leviathan then complained about treating Satan as his brother, but Lucifer reminded them all that they were in no position to be refusing orders from the Demon King.
After MC used the powers of the pacts they once had with the brothers to knock Satan out, Lucifer demanded MC tell him what they had done. Before he could properly interrogate them, however, Diavolo abruptly decided to designate MC as Lucifer's and his brothers' attendant.
Lucifer told Diavolo they had no need of an attendant, but Diavolo insisted. He could not refuse, but was at least happy that he and his brothers were now going to live in the House of Lamentation instead of being confined to the Demon Lord's Castle, and herded his brothers there next. He Later texted MC and told them to come to the Demon Lord's Castle the next day.
He was not pleased to see MC come to the castle the next day accompanied by Mammon and Asmodeus, who had snuck out to escort MC. He also took back his stolen credit card from Mammon, and decided to hide it somewhere.
After Asmodeus and Mammon left, he learned that Diavolo wanted to open a school in the Devildom, and wanted himself and MC to be founding members. This idea did not please him at all, but after a long explanation, MC escorted Lucifer back to the House of Lamentation.
On the way, Lucifer told MC about his brothers always getting lost while they were all living at the castle. He was glad they have a place of their own now, but told MC point blank that he didn't trust them. In the middle of telling MC they don't need them as an attendant, he heard his brothers yelling about a giant snake in the house. Begrudgingly, he told MC he could use their help.

Relationships[edit]
This section covers the relationships Lucifer has with each of the characters from Lucifer's point of view.
Main Character[edit]
See also MC's POV
Obey Me![edit]
Due to MC's tendency to stick their nose where it might not belong, it took Lucifer some time to warm up to MC. In the early lessons, he felt suspicious of MC's motives in making pacts with his brothers and was often frustration by all the trouble MC tended to be involved in.(source?) Despite these major setbacks in their relationship, Lucifer eventually comes to trust and care for MC.(source?)
According to the chat First Thing in the Morning, the first thing he does every morning is check his D.D.D. for messages from MC. He is the last out of the seven brothers that MC makes a pact with, but he notes that MC shouldn't lump him together with the rest of his siblings.(source?) Due to his pride, Lucifer does his best not to make it too obvious how much he cares for MC. And example of this is in Lesson 21, when — after MC's return to the Devildom — he attempted to continue the interrupted student council meeting as normal, but started talking incessantly and kept going on tangents, to the point that Diavolo ended the meeting early.

Mammon[edit]
See also Mammon's POV
Obey Me![edit]
One could say that Lucifer's treatment of Mammon is the harshest of all his brothers. Lucifer punishes Mammon in various ways, such as taking away his credit card, or hanging him from their house's ceiling.(source?) He often gets mad at Mammon, as the latter tends to cause a lot of (usually finance-related) problems.(source?)
However, Lucifer also has a soft spot for Mammon. This is shown across multiple occasions via the story and chats, and other characters — such as Simeon and Diavolo) — comment about it as well.(source?) In one chat, he even spoke against Diavolo, something Lucifer seldom does, in order to defend Mammon.(source?)
In the Devilgram story The Rulebook, Lucifer told Mammon it's thanks to him that he turned out the way he did. In a flashback in said Devilgram, it was revealed that Mammon gave Lucifer the advice to act like he knows better than anyone, and be so proud that people around him will think he's full of himself.

Leviathan[edit]
See also Leviathan's POV
Obey Me![edit]
Because Leviathan is the third-oldest brother, Lucifer seems to hold him to a higher standard than the rest of his brothers. In the chat Separate Your Trash, Lucifer tells both Mammon and Leviathan that they must set an example for their younger brothers.
However, Lucifer also seems to think Leviathan is immature, and finds some of his behaviors annoying. In the chat Chess Partner, Lucifer told MC that he didn't want to play chess with Leviathan because he would present no challenge, and because he didn't want to deal with Leviathan after he lost. In the chat Karaoke, unlike the rest of the brothers, Lucifer was supportive of Leviathan's decision to go to karaoke, but only because he dislikes it when Leviathan wakes him up in the middle of the night by singing too loudly.
Lucifer and Leviathan share the group chat Big Brothers(3) with Mammon. A common theme of this chat room is Leviathan asking his brothers random questions. Whenever this happens, Lucifer always seems annoyed but despite this, he participates in the conversations anyway.(source?) In the Devilgram Lucifer and Mr. Rabbit, Lucifer reached the conclusion that the culprit behind a prank pulled on him must be either Mammon or Leviathan, which likely means that Lucifer views Leviathan as a troublemaker.
Despite the numerous times when Lucifer is annoyed by Leviathan, he does care for his brother's well-being. For example, in the chat Gamer Levi's Incurable Illness, Leviathan told Lucifer he suffered from tendonitis due to playing fighting games. Lucifer suggested he take a break from gaming, but when Levi said that he wouldn't, Lucifer told him to get some pain relief patches.

Belphegor[edit]

Obey Me![edit]
Lucifer cares for Belphegor deeply, and possibly blames himself for what happened to their relationship. Conflicted between his loyalty towards Diavolo and his brothers, he locked Belphegor away in order to protect him from Diavolo's possible punishment.(source?) During the time Belphegor was locked away in the attic, Lucifer often visited him, trying to change Belphegor's mind.(source?)

Diavolo[edit]
See also Diavolo's POV
Obey Me![edit]
Lucifer respects Diavolo greatly and shows unwavering loyalty towards him, which sometimes causes conflict between him and his brothers, especially Belphegor.(source?) He rarely opposes Diavolo, even if he personally disagrees with Diavolo's plans (or finds them ridiculous in most cases).(source?) The relationship between the two also isn't always perfect, as seen in season two of the Main Story when Lucifer was bothered by the fact that Diavolo was hiding something from him. Although he was willing to secretly investigate after Diavolo, he also ultimately respected Diavolo's decision, and didn't press the matter when Diavolo told him not to worry.(source?)
At the end of season 2, after finding out the truth about what Diavolo was keeping from him, Lucifer was very angry with him and unwilling to forgive him easily, despite Diavolo's attempts to mend things between them.(source?) For the most part, however, he and Diavolo are close friends, and the two often visit each other to have tea together.(source?) MC eventually becomes a regular guest to these tea parties, as noted in the chat Secret Ingredient.

Michael and Lucifer once had a close brotherly relationship back when Lucifer was an angel.(source?) This changed, however, after the Great Celestial War and Lucifer's resulting fall from the Celestial Realm.(source?) Despite the rift in their relationship, Lucifer mentioned in the Devilgram A Job From Michael that Michael sent him unsolicited advice, which Lucifer actually followed.
