"It needed a manual."
MC arrives in Simeon's room, and he explains he called them over because Leviathan lent him a VR game called Monster Devil Slayer, and thought they should play it together. Although Simeon ended up having more trouble setting it up than he thought, after some help they were ready to play. However, Simeon doesn't know how to turn on the VR headset or how any of the buttons work. After some more help from MC, they finally boot up the game.

"Very princely."
As the game starts, Simeon and MC need to choose their character roles. Simeon decides he wants to play as a prince, and MC can choose between a royal sorcerer or a knight. The game differs depending on which role MC chooses. As Simeon is the prince, the game starts in his castle. Simeon needs to complete an "event," though this proves to be difficult, as he doesn't know how to move his character. After getting through several exhausting events, Simeon admits he never thought being a prince was this much work.

"An unbeatable bodyguard?"
As a prince, Simeon gets the next game event of swordsman training. He doesn't like the idea when he learns he needs to spar against MC, and says he doesn't like the thought of putting somebody he cares about in danger. Thankfully, there is no threat to be seen, as he once again does not know how the controls work, and his character jumps around the place. Once they manage to get the event done, the next event requires Simeon to defeat the "Evil Lord of Monsters." He and MC had only just finished playing the prologue, yet Simeon is hopeful they will get through the adventure together.

"Will there be food?"
Simeon marvels how realistic VR seems to be while they are travelling to their destination, until they are suddenly attacked by NPC monsters. He asks MC how they should fight, and with their advice the two manage to win the fight. After the battle, they decide to set up a camp for the night. Simeon again finds the game world strange, and hopes that they go on a real journey together someday. He is saddened, however, by the fact he was quite useless during the game, and had to continuously rely on MC. Simeon wished he could have protected MC more. He also questions the realness of VR, and MC can either decide to see just how realistic VR is, or decide to sleep the night through to regain HP. If they choose the latter option, they continue the journey, and together they only defeat the first boss, much to Simeon's chagrin.
