"An exchange student from the Human World. Known as the wise one, he is the most powerful sorcerer who can command 72 demons."
— Solomon's Student ID
Solomon is a human whose first appearance in Obey Me!'s Main Story was in Lesson 2-2, and whose first appearance in Nightbringer's Main Story was Lesson 1-9. In Obey Me!, he was chosen as an exchange student at RAD alongside MC. In both games, he is known as a powerful sorcerer, and already familiar with demons and the Devildom. While he is considered a side character in both Obey Me! and Nightbringer, Solomon was added to Obey Me!'s Intimacy system in December of 2020 as part of the Happy Devil Day celebration. In the later released Nightbringer, he is part of the Intimacy system from the start.
Appearance[edit]
Solomon has short, pale silvery-grey hair with bangs that sweep toward the left, and pale skin. His eyes are a gradient of pewter grey and a coppery orange.
As seen in the official height chart, Solomon is the second-tallest of the side characters, being slightly taller than Barbatos.
RAD Uniform
Solomon's RAD Uniform is the typical charcoal grey jacket with gold accents, matching charcoal-colored pants with red stripes along the sides, and a red-bordered belt.
He wears the standard teal shirt beneath the jacket paired with a bolo tie, the cord of which is a gradient of white and dark blue. The slide and decorative tips are both gold. His leather shoes are the standard charcoal grey.

Solomon was first seen wearing his everyday clothes in Lesson 7-7 of Obey Me!'s Main Story, and is his standard outfit in Nightbringer. The outfit consists of a dark grey, shawl collar sweatshirt that is tucked into his pants of the same dark grey color. Said pants are paired with a black belt that has a silver buckle.
Over his shirt is a full length robe with no visible fastenings, granite grey lining, and a gradient of colors with black at the top fading into ever-lighter shades of blue. The robe is also covered in colored glitter or sparkles, giving the overall pattern the appearance of a twilit sky. The shoulders, sleeves, and back of the robe all have elaborate gold trim, which in several places is looped such that it creates diamond shapes. The sleeves also each have gold decorations that look like a stem with six gold leaves attached. Said sleeves are so long on Solomon, that even with his arm extended, his hand barely reaches past the hems. Most often, he wears his robe draped over his shoulders as if it were a cape. However, in a style similar to Satan's everyday clothes, Solomon will sometimes wear his robe such that his right arm is not inside the sleeve, as seen in his reference sheet.
Draped over Solomon's shoulders is a white, ribbon-like accessory with two metal, gold triangles attached to each end. From each of these triangles dangles an interlocking series of gold diamonds, the bottom diamond having a gold tassel attached to it. There are five diamonds on his left side, and four on his right. His boots are two-toned, with black on the inner halves and white on the outer halves. The toes of each shoe are decorated with a gold diamond, and the black soles of the boots are bordered with gold.

Solomon was first seen in his Human World look in Lesson 42-12 of Obey Me!'s Main Story. The outfit consists of a black turtleneck shirt under a collared, onyx grey shirt with black buttons. Over both shirts is an ivory colored, knee-length coat that appears oversized on Solomon, as the sleeves are long enough to nearly cover his hands. The coat has notched lapels, three black buttons on the right side, and a belt the same ivory color as the rest of the coat with a black buckle. Both the buttons and the belt are left undone.
His pants are gunmetal grey, and paired with a black belt with a silver buckle. His shoes are colored dark gunmetal grey with black soles. Solomon also wears three pairs of nested necklaces; the shortest has a black cord with sections decorated in silver beads, and a pendant made of an imperial blue, diamond-shaped gemstone charm in a silver setting within two concentric circles. The second necklace is fully beaded with silver beads, several of which have six-pointed stars, a symbol associated with the Seal of Solomon. This necklace also has diamond-shaped gemstones of sunflower yellow, forest green, medium blue, and Prussian blue with silver settings. The longest necklace has a very wide, decorative silver chain.

To many, Solomon gives off a mysterious, even "shady" impression. This is a reputation he argues against at times, though he doesn't seem to argue too hard against people thinking that. When accused of cheating at cards in Lesson 2-A (OM), he outlandishly claimed to be "a simple human, an innocent lamb." Satan then asked how Solomon could say that with a straight face when it is widely known he's "the most powerful sorcerer in the history of mankind."
He isn't as cautious or careful as he could be when using his magic, either. Despite admitting to MC in Lesson 8-8 (OM) he had no idea what would happen if he lent them some of his magic, he did so anyway.
Solomon also has a strong interest in making pacts with demons, and in Lesson 2-2 (OM) mentioned having pacts with 72 demons at that point.
He is completely oblivious to the fact that other than himself and Raphael, everyone absolutely hates his cooking. This first comes up in Lesson 8-17 Hard (OM), when Mammon tried some of his food only to describe it as feeling like needles are poking his tongue, and he was choking, and his stomach was on fire. Solomon somehow thought his - and everyone else's - negative commentary were compliments, however, as he nearly always does when others eat his cooking.
According to both Asmodeus and Barbatos in the chat Irresistible to All 1, it is rare for Solomon to be seen lazing around.
Simeon mentioned in Lesson 69-9 (OM) that Solomon is "a night owl" and generally wakes up late. When he does wake, he's often groggy and slow to fully wake up, as seen in Lesson 76-16 Hard (OM).
Preferences[edit]
Likes[edit]
- Solomon seems to enjoy comedy films, and mentions in one of his Home Screen dialogues that he watches a lot of them.
- His favorite genre of music is Classical, as he stated in the audio drama Solomon Quiz.
- According to the Devilgram Seek a Melody, the reason he likes classical music is due to Serenade of the Mage and the Demon, an enchanted record which was also the first record he ever listened to.
- As Solomon mentioned in the audio drama Solomon Quiz, his favorite fantasy novel is The Tale of the Seven Lords.
- He's a big enough TSL fan that he was able to recite the trivia-style password Leviathan asked for to come into his room in Lesson 3-7 (OM).
- Solomon also owns a platinum version of the Lord of Corruption's lost wing pendant, which Leviathan stated in Lesson 4-1 (OM) is a very rare piece of TSL merch that was only sold in limited quantities.
- Solomon likes multiple genres of films.
- In the Devilgram The Gourmand's Main Dish, it was shown that Solomon is not scared of horror movies, and likes the movie "The Quietude of the Black Lambs" for non-horror related reasons as well.
- In the chat Wanna Go to the Movies?, Solomon was enthusiastic about watching a sci-fi movie with MC.
- In the same chat, he mentioned that he doesn't often watch romance movies, but is not opposed to the idea.
- Solomon enjoys cooking, and often likes to give out his food to the demon brothers and his roommates, much to their dismay. He doesn't seem to be aware of how they hate his cooking.(source?)
- In the chat Cooking Tips 2, Solomon explained that he likes to improvise and experiment with the ingredients, so he doesn't use a recipe.
- He enjoys creating magical items, and tells Barbatos in Happy Birthday! Dear Barbatos '22 that he considers it a hobby of his.
- According to one of his Home Screen dialogues, Solomon prefers winter out of the four seasons, as he dislikes being covered in sweat.
Dislikes[edit]
- As he stated in the chat The Mushroom, Solomon dislikes the taste of Hellfire mushrooms.
- According to his Cursed Cutlery dialogue, Solomon also dislikes nattō.
- Solomon dislikes the ocean, and in particular using magic near it, as doing so "brings up bad memories."
- He explained to MC in the Devilgram Anywhere Is Okay With You that the reason behind his discomfort was due to an event in his past from when he was still a young sorcerer.
- The headline on the cover of his birthday nightmare is "He said what now?! Solomon claps back to being called a magician." which implies Solomon does not like being called a magician.
- However, Solomon called himself a magician twice in Lesson 35 (OM).
- In the Devilgram Punishment for a Cheater, it was shown that while Solomon might not care about someone cheating at a game, he does get angry if the cheater then brags about winning.
- Simeon stated in one of his Limited Item Dialogues that Solomon dislikes the heat more than most, and in hotter weather will often spend all his time in his room with the AC on.
- As he stated in the Pop Quiz Bon Voyage! he is not much of a beach person.
- Solomon seems to dislike rainy days, and commented in the chat Ways to Spend a Rainy Day that when it rains, he "lose[s] the will to do pretty much anything."
Talents and Skills[edit]
- Solomon is either a very talented card player, or a very lucky one. When playing against Satan and Asmodeus in Lesson 2-A (OM), he won 183 games in a row.

- He is able to express his feelings openly, and he occasionally feels jealous.
Powers and Abilities[edit]
In Lesson 8 (OM), it was shown that Solomon knew a spell to lend another human his magic powers to wield as if they are their own. When this happens, it means that the other person also has access to the power of the demons Solomon has pacts with.
Solomon is capable of using his magic to fly, can have others fly along with him so long as they're holding hands, and can sustain flight magic for an extended period, as seen in the Devilgram Spread Our Wings and Fly.
Solomon has the ability to talk to animals, as demonstrated in a few Pop Quiz events. In the Pop Quiz Three-Legged Crow Leisure Land, Solomon communicates with some of the fish in Aqua Park. In All Aboard the S.S. Devildom!, Solomon speaks to some devil-dolphins.
In the Devilgram Demon King Who?, Solomon claimed that the person that looked just like him and was at a party in Asmodeus's room was actually a "puppet" or "vessel" that he had created, and that the real Solomon was at Cocytus Hall researching magic. He then assured the others that he was the one doing the talking, not the puppet.
Story[edit]
Background[edit]
According to Nightbringer's "What day is it today?" widget, Solomon learned magic on September 12th.
As Solomon explained to MC in Lesson 36-3 (OM), long ago, he made a mistake when researching a new form of magic. Because of this mistake, he is unable to either grow old or die. He has lived for thousands of years looking the same as he does currently. In Lesson 36-C (OM), Solomon also admitted that he doesn't remember his own age. He commented that after 200 years or so, humans tend to forget how old they actually are.
When he was still a young sorcerer, Solomon was interested in fish and their ecology, so would often cast all kinds of spells while researching them, as he told MC in the Devilgram Anywhere Is Okay With You. This "annoyed a bunch of ocean spirits," who kept him captive until he'd undone all the things that he'd "tinkered with."
Solomon stated that he doesn't recall how long fixing things took him, but afterwards, the ocean spirits cursed him with what he compared to "a restraining order from the sea." He no longer has this curse, but stated that the raw power the spirits used still has an effect on him. For example, using magic near the ocean costs him more power than it would anywhere else.
In the Devilgram Guided by Desire, it was confirmed that he has pacts with seventy-two demons in total, two of which are Asmodeus and Barbatos. He told MC in Lesson 9-14 Hard (NB) that he had a pact with Barbatos before the demon started serving Diavolo. In Lesson 49-A (OM), it was mentioned that the first time the two met, Solomon was "in an awful state" and "desperately needed to obtain [Barbatos's] power to control time."
Solomon has expressed interest in making pacts with Belphegor and Lucifer (the latter especially), though both of them refused.(source?) In one of his Home Screen dialogues, Solomon expressed disinterest in entering a pact with Mammon. Despite this, he did ask Mammon to make a pact in Lesson 35 (OM) in exchange for a Midas Crest.
In Lesson 16-2 (NB), Satan found a guidebook on the Fountain of Knowledge that seemed to refer to both Solomon and Barbatos. The book stated that a sorcerer of "rare and extraordinary power" fought to suppress this power, but eventually lost control and caused tremendous destruction to the Human World. Because he was potentially a threat to all three worlds, a demon approached him and offered him guidance. He was made the guardian of the Fountain of Knowledge, which "gave him a new lease on life," and he was known thereafter as "the wise sorcerer."
While Solomon has said very little about his family, he did mention an ancestor of his - Grandma Gladys - in Lesson 40-4 (NB). Supposedly she was the "most virtuous of all [his] ancestors."
According to Mephistopheles in Lesson 36-5 (NB), Solomon once walked from the Human World all the way to the Underworld and then back again. However, Lucifer commented that he "barely managed it." When MC asked Solomon about it, he said he had "fond memories" of the trip, though at the time it was a "seriously rough experience." He also mentioned playing a game of chess against Minos, Judge of the Damned in the Underworld's first circle.
Obey Me!'s Main Story[edit]
Lessons 1-10[edit]
Lesson 2[edit]
In Lesson 2-2, MC was spooked by some gossiping demons in the hallway of RAD which caused them to lose their D.D.D., resulting in them meeting Solomon. He called out to them, and confirmed he was talking to them by describing them as the human with a frightened, tormented look that demons love. He told them that they were practically screaming for a demon to come and eat them. He handed them their D.D.D. and explained that he saw them drop it moments before.
After MC gave him a questioning look, he introduced himself and explained that he is the other human exchange student from the Human World. Depending on the response choice from MC, he then either made a comment about having a demon like Mammon being assigned to look after them, as well as speculating at Lucifer's reason for doing that, or he further introduced himself as a sorcerer with the Ring of Wisdom and 72 different pacts with demons.
Shortly after in Lesson 2-A, Solomon was shown in a classroom winning multiple rounds of cards against Asmodeus and Satan. Asmodeus accused him of cheating with magic, but he denied these claims and called himself an innocent lamb of a human. Satan made fun of him for the description and stated that he is the most powerful sorcerer in the history of mankind. The conversation turned to Mammon and Solomon asked the two demons why they were always putting him down. He further inquired if they shouldn't be a bit more respectful since he was their older brother. The topic was immediately ignored by the two brothers in favor of a conversation regarding the news of MC's plan.
Solomon was very interested in learning of this plan and seemed impressed that they were already planning on pressuring one of the brothers into a pact. After Asmodeus commented that he found it strange that other demons have an issue with pacts. He cited his and Barbatos's pacts with Solomon as reasons why it's not a big deal. Solomon agreed that he had been fortunate on that front, but went on to say he wouldn't get complacent as he wished to make a pact with Lucifer before MC since it seemed they were becoming one of his favorite people.
Lesson 3[edit]
Solomon appeared briefly while Mammon and MC were attempting to enter Leviathan's room to borrow the TSL Soundtrack. Solomon arrived and gained access via a secret password phrase from The Tale of the Seven Lords. The other two attempted to copy the phrase but learned that it changed with each use and that they would have to learn about The Tale of the Seven Lords (TSL), via a watch party, to gain access.
Lesson 4[edit]
After MC challenged Leviathan to a contest to see who was the bigger TSL fan, MC could choose to visit Solomon to give them a "trump card" that would send Levi into a jealous frenzy. The scene was never shown but MC arrived at the contest with a platinum pendant of a single wing, which Levi said was the Lord of Corruption's lost wing pendant. The item was incredibly rare and was only released, in limited quantity during the release of volume 1. Mammon confirmed that if Solomon had that it must mean that he was as big of a TSL fan as he claimed.
Lesson 7[edit]
During the exchange party at the Demon Lord's Castle, Solomon was assigned to a room with Mammon and Satan. Mammon proclaimed that Solomon looked like someone who snores in an attempt to get Asmodeus to switch rooms with him, something that Solomon denied. After they took their belongings to their assigned rooms, everyone met back in the main room. Mammon let it slip that his room had some nefarious plans for their time at the castle, specifically Solomon's was to get some magic items from the castle.
During the castle tour, a talking painting interrupted the group. It turned out to be an ex-girlfriend of Asmodeus. After a fight between them, she pulled several of them into the painting. The painting operated as a kind of teleportation device, that caused everyone who was pulled inside to land in an underground labyrinth where Leviathan's old pet snake, Henry 1.0 lived. At first, Solomon and MC were initially separated from the others, but he wasted no time in showing MC one of the powers of a pact when he summoned Asmodeus to their location.
They quickly caught up with the other three who were being chased by Henry 1.0. Solomon decided to show off another power of a pact by enhancing Asmodeus' power so that he was able to charm the snake for them to safely leave the labyrinth unscathed. When they met up with the others, Simeon and Luke expressed their sympathy to Solomon for being dragged into that mess, but he told them he actually had fun down there.
Lesson 8[edit]
After dinner that night, Mammon, Satan, and Solomon decided to sneak around the castle in search of treasure. Satan told the group a rumor about a demonic beast protecting the castle's treasure from anyone with a heart full of greed. Shortly after that, the lights went out and they heard the sound of Beelzebub's stomach growling loudly. They assumed that sound was actually the roar of the beast from the rumor, they ran off.
The next morning, on day two of the retreat, Solomon assisted in keeping the group on task during the explanation of the scavenger hunt. During the hunt, he interrupted a conversation between Satan and Simeon to tell Simeon that his teammate, Asmodeus, had been photobombing and sabotaging the other teams. Later that night at dinner, he joined the conversation about the Celestial Realm food made by Luke when he offered his portion of the meal to Beelzebub, but not before he voiced his surprise that Beelzebub was still hungry.
Once the meal was finished Diavolo signaled for the next activity to start - the dance portion. Solomon cast a spell that summoned guests from all over the Devildom to fill the hall. After the first song ended, Solomon interrupted a conversation and dance between Lucifer and MC. He claimed it was simply because it was a new song, and he wished to dance with them, but he later revealed when they were alone that he was aware of Lucifer's threatening behavior and had come to assist them.
Solomon reminded MC that they were a human in the Devildom and that they needed to be careful. He went on to say that they may have made pacts with some of the brothers but that they were not able to control them. This prompted MC to ask him how to control a demon under a pact, and he explained it has to be done via magic contained within the person themselves. Since MC showed no manifestation of their own power, he cast a spell on them to allow them to use his power for the next six hours, as he was interested to see what they would do with it.
Later, after a failed attempt to photograph a sleeping Lucifer, Solomon becomes a partial target of the chastising Lucifer was giving the others for having lent his magic to MC. He denied that he did such a thing, saying that no one in the Devildom is that kind, and asked Asmodeus to back him up. He didn't say anything further but seemed very intrigued by the unfolding events when Asmodeus announced that he was forming a pact with MC after they were able to draw even more power out of him than even Solomon had previously.
When an argument broke out in the shared room of Asmodeus, Simeon, and MC, the commotion brought everyone else into the room, including Solomon. The argument eventually escalated into a pillow fight with everyone involved. He suggested Simeon step in before it gets that far but ultimately did nothing aside from providing commentary alongside Simeon as the fight escalated.
The next afternoon, everyone woke up late from their eventful night and enjoyed a brunch of Human World food prepared by MC, Solomon, and Barbatos. They all quickly learned that Solomon's cooking is very unique, in such a way that everyone found it disgusting. This marked the end of the retreat.

Relationships[edit]
This section covers the relationships Solomon has with each of the characters from Solomon's point of view.
Main Character[edit]

Obey Me![edit]
While Solomon behaved politely enough to MC when they first met in Lesson 2-2, he didn't seem interested in them beyond being another human exchange student. If MC tried asking him for help, Solomon seemed to find their situation amusing, and said things weren't "bad enough" for MC to need his help. He did later assist MC if they asked for his advice in Lesson 3-17 with the The Tale of the Seven Lords quiz, and loaned them his rare TSL wing pendant merch. He also cut in when Lucifer danced with and threatened MC, then temporarily lent MC some of his powers, but less out of kindness than curiosity about what would happen.
After MC's magic powers were stabilized by the Ring of Light, Solomon requested of MC in Lesson 38-19 that if ever again he was faced with tough decisions in how to protect the Human World, MC would help him "work out what to do together, as partners." Later in Lesson 39-13, Solomon offered to teach MC magic, as he knew MC wanted to learn to use their pacts to be able to summon demons. At the start of Lesson 41, MC had been apprenticing under Solomon for some while.
There are times that Solomon shows an interest in strengthening his connection with MC. One example is in Lesson 46, when he booked twin rooms for himself, MC, Beelzebub, and Belphegor while within the Devil's Quest game. When pressed, he admitted that he wanted to be the one that MC shared a room with.

Obey Me![edit]
Solomon has wanted to make a pact with Lucifer for some time - despite Lucifer's disinterest - as first mentioned when he joked about MC making a pact with Lucifer before he could in Lesson 2-A. He also tried to make a deal with Mammon to help in getting a pact with Lucifer in Lesson 35-16 Hard.
He was willing to use the Night Dagger to kill Lucifer in Lesson 38-12 if it meant protecting the Human World, though ended up not going through with that, knowing it would anger MC. He was also fine with using Lucifer as part of MC's first sorcerer's trial in Lesson 45-7.
Solomon and Lucifer do have times when they see eye to eye, however. One of these times was in the Devilgram The Secret Dames, when both were not happy about dressing up like Dames. They also weren't happy about Diavolo calling in MC to convince them, but in the end both agreed to the idea.

Satan[edit]

Obey Me![edit]
Solomon and Satan share a love of cats, which they often talk about in their groupchat Cat(3). However, this is not all they talk about. In the groupchat, Satan also often wants to talk about TV shows and invites Solomon and MC out to a café so they can discuss the episodes. While Satan was excited to share his thoughts, Solomon seemed to view these conversations as a hassle.
Solomon respects Satan's intellectual abilities. In the chat The Intellectual Group, Solomon was impressed by Satan when he picked up on a mistranslation in the history book they were supposed to read for their group project. In the chat An Ancient Text, it was revealed that Solomon taught Satan how to read ancient writing from the Human World. Solomon brought home an ancient book of magic from the Human World because he remembered that Satan told him he wanted to read it, signifying that he pays attention to Satan's interests.
Solomon is also somewhat protective of Satan. In the chat Documentaries are Awesome 2, Solomon shared a photo that Mammon sent him. Satan explained that he had just watched a documentary featuring large, parasitic insects. In a follow-up chat, Documentaries are Awesome 3, Solomon said that he deleted the photo from Mammon's D.D.D. in order to preserve Satan's dignity, and that he planned to make him an enhanced insect repellent.

Obey Me![edit]
While Asmodeus is one of many demons that Solomon has a pact with, he typically behaves in a friendly manner toward Asmodeus, who sometimes turns to Solomon with his problems or plans.(source?) Even when he disagrees with his solutions, Solomon can't seem to say no to Asmodeus, as shown in Guided by Desire's Devilgram, where Solomon lied to Lucifer for Asmodeus's sake.

Nightbringer[edit]
For reasons that Solomon was unaware of, Barbatos in the past seemed to be more irritated and hostile toward him. Later on, it was revealed in Lesson 25-1 that Barbatos's constant annoyance with Solomon stemmed from his discovery of a list of demons that Solomon wanted to make a pact with. Barbatos was the eighth on this list, which he considered to be a humiliation, and this led him to eventually harbor resentment for Solomon.

Thirteen[edit]

Obey Me![edit]
In Lesson 35-9, Solomon offhandedly mentioned that he considers Thirteen to be attractive, even if he had only ever seen her looking angry. He also said he'd like to consider Thirteen a friend of his, but doubted that the feeling was mutual.
He and Thirteen have what Solomon considers "friendly competitions" with each other. As Solomon tells MC in Lesson 36-C, Thirteen wants to harvest his soul, so he agreed to part with it if Thirteen were to beat him at a game. Solomon hasn't lost yet, and whenever he wins, he's allowed to take one item from the Reaper's Cave. During one of these attempts at taking his soul, Solomon invited Thirteen to try some of his (known to be terrible) cooking. Thirteen has disliked him ever since "for some reason."(source?)

Solomon told MC in Lesson 29-5 that he met Michael at a time in his life when he was unsure what to do. It was Michael that gave him the Ring of Wisdom, though Solomon didn't go into details as to why Michael did so.
