Following the Sacrifice of Darkness Pop Quiz, at the House of Lamentation, the brothers are eating in the dining room while Leviathan and Asmodeus recall Mammon's experience with the Dark Delusions. They chat about possibly contracting the Dark Delusion hiccups - the lingering effect of the Dark Delusions syndrome that forces someone to speak as a chūnibyō character - when Mammon suddenly starts flamboyantly speaking about his meal. Mammon agonizes over his current circumstance, and the brothers try to reassure Mammon, while Leviathan suggests fully embracing the strange speech impediment to fully rid of the hiccups and MC concur. Mammon then recruits MC to help cure his Dark Delusions hiccups.

Leviathan lists his advice to cure the Dark Delusion hiccups in more detail with Mammon and MC in the common room. Leviathan advises him to rather, instead of cringe, Mammon should fully embrace every impulsive hiccup that occurs. When Mammon refuses to follow, Leviathan instead diverts the conversation to Mammon's itinerary. Leviathan leaves the duo on their own and Mammon eventually heeds Leviathan's words to purchase Vutton merchandise as he originally planned. When MC and Mammon travel to town, they chat about Mammon confronting and overcoming embarrassment caused by the Dark Delusion hiccups. After chatting, Mammon realizes that his speech wasn't impeded when talking with MC, and he becomes hopeful that his hiccups had been cured entirely. However, when they visit a clothes store and Mammon comments about a fashionable jacket, he suddenly shouts his admiration and intention to purchase with flowery words. Embarrassed, Mammon then announces to MC that they'll be returning back to the House of Lamentation.

At the House of Lamentation, Mammon discusses with MC about his Dark Delusion hiccups resurfacing at the clothing store and ultimately declares that he'll be remaining inside until fully cured of his hiccups. When Lucifer stops and interrogates Mammon about his recent spending habits, Mammon's confession to spending is adorned with flowery language. Lucifer is baffled at Mammon's words, and MC can either clarify that Mammon contracted the Dark Delusion hiccups, or provoke Mammon to list what items he had earlier purchased. Lucifer eventually decides to imprison Mammon's credit card, Goldie, in ice as Mammon's punishment. Even while mourning over his revoked credit card, Mammon grieves in a verbose manner, and again, Mammon reflexively grimaces at his hiccups.

Mammon announces that he'll confine himself to his room until his Dark Delusion hiccups are cured. Mammon then invites MC to come closer to him, but his hiccups force him to ask in a poetic manner. As Mammon continues to lament about his hiccups, he admits that he despised contracting the hiccups because he was afraid that MC would dislike him. Different endings can be achieved depending on MC's choice. If MC clarifies that they'd love him nevertheless, then Mammon will thoughtfully reflect on their words. MC can further stress their words or promptly state they'll make out. If they choose the former, then Mammon will thank them for always helping him overcome his troubles. If they choose the latter, then they will trade kisses as Mammon declares his adoration for MC in a long winded spiel.
However, if MC instead remarks earlier about the uncharacteristic speech impediment, then Mammon will concur, and with new found resolution, he fully embraces speaking like a chūnibyō character. He will then ask MC to join him, to which they can either accept or deny the invite. Following his grand rendition, Mammon celebrates being finally cured, but he then grieves over how Goldie was earlier confiscated by Lucifer, and therefore he cannot shop for Vutton merchandise.
