Story Summary

"It's worrisome, isn't it?"
On Devildom Street, Leviathan gushes happily about his new pair of headphones, and thanks MC for going shopping with him. After a brief time skip, MC arrives at the House of Lamentation where Beelzebub, Asmodeus and Mammon ask if they know what's been going on with Leviathan. They begin to each share their recent experiences with Leviathan where he ended up getting upset over nothing, resulting in him locking himself in his room and refusing to come out.

"Something's weird, right?"
MC knocks on Leviathan's door and calls out to him. Leviathan cries out in distress, asking MC how they could say such a thing to him, and tells them to go away. MC decides to send him a text instead, which Leviathan responds much more positively to and ends up unlocking his door. Still wearing his headphones, he apologizes to MC, sheepishly acknowledging that deep down he knew MC would never be so cruel to him, and invites them inside his room.

"So that's what it was."
Inside Leviathan's room, MC tries to comfort him further, but Leviathan recoils in shock and accuses MC of just wanting to be mean to his face. He slumps down into his bathtub, causing his headphones to fall off. Utterly defeated, Leviathan tells MC to leave if they hate him so much, which MC refutes and begs Leviathan to listen to them. Surprised at the lack of cruelty from MC, Leviathan cautiously asks MC how he can trust them after he heard them say such mean things to him. MC is able to kiss/hug Leviathan to prove their sincerity, and Leviathan finally believes them. He asks MC why they were so mean to him, before noticing that MC had started acting normal again now that his headphones were off. Realizing that his headphones were twisting everyone's words, Leviathan worriedly asks MC if they thought his headphones were cursed.

Leviathan is disappointed that his new headphones were cursed, dismayed that he's unable to return them and complaining that they were too expensive to just throw away. MC points out that as long as Leviathan interprets everything he hears in a positive way, everything should be OK. Leviathan agrees to try, and goes to explain the situation to his brothers. After Leviathan finishes explaining, MC tries on the headphones and discovers a switch that Leviathan turns off. He puts on the headphones again and suddenly, everyone sounds normal! Beelzebub, Asmodeus and Mammon complain about the time they wasted feeling worried over something so easily fixable, and Leviathan assumes the switch must have been turned back on, happily interpreting his brothers' exasperation as admiration for him.
