Diavolo rushes out after a meeting concludes, which makes Mammon comment that he's been acting weird lately. Satan agrees with him. MC can ask if Diavolo's just busy, or suggest that he's lovesick. Either answer ends with Mammon shocked about the possibility of Diavolo going on a date. Lucifer warns them to stay out of Diavolo's private life. When MC questions him about the situation, Lucifer replies that he doesn't know anything and claims that doesn't bother him. Lucifer then states that they can look into the matter if they won't drop it.

"Is Number 2 really try..."
Mammon, Satan, Lucifer, and MC sneak into the Demon Lord's Castle. They're greeted by Little D. No. 2, who acts as a security guard for the castle. Satan bribes No. 2 with sweets from Madam Scream's, and No. 2 gives up Diavolo's location. This makes Satan worry about the security, but Lucifer comments that the others aren't as dense as No. 2. They are then stopped by Barbatos, who wasn't expecting them and doesn't let them pass. Lucifer then tells MC to bring the item forth, making Barbatos look on curiously.

Barbatos questions the package MC reveals, assuming it's a bribe. He states that he isn't tempted in the slightest, but comments it would be rude to not accept the generous offer, which makes it obvious he is tempted. Barbatos then takes them to where Diavolo is, and everyone hides behind an enchanted curtain. As Diavolo is happily working, the brothers and MC notice something is off. Mammon states that he must be in love.

"I hope he's doing well."
Turns out, Diavolo was tending to a flame salamander. This surprises Satan and causes him to speak too loudly, which Diavolo overhears and then notices everyone. Lucifer questions when Diavolo had gotten a pet, but Diavolo explains that he found it injured and was nursing it back to health. He comments on its cuteness, which Mammon disagrees with, and the salamander retorts by spewing fire at him. Satan seems to think it's the same salamander he used to have.
The next day at RAD, Satan states that he heard the salamander left again. Barbatos replies that it fled back to the forest after it healed up, which explains Diavolo's gloominess. MC can cheer Diavolo up by either offering to be his new pet, or by suggesting they throw a party. Diavolo smiles again and is back to his jovial self after their comment.
