At RAD, Barbatos asks MC if they have any more classes for the day. MC either responds they are on break, or asks about the plants Barbatos is holding. Either way, Barbatos says the plants are going to be used in the applied magical potions class, which he will temporarily be a substitute teacher for. He explains that there have been many complains submitted by students in the Bloody Box about this class, so the professor has been made to reevaluate the curriculum. In the meantime, Barbatos has been asked to take over lessons. He wants the class to be fun so that the students be motivated to learn. MC can say they are excited for his teaching, or ask if the class will be making potions with the plants he has. Either way, Barbatos says he can give them a sneak peak, and asks MC to follow him.

When Barbatos and MC arrive to the classroom, Barbatos thanks MC for helping him carry the plants. He then explains that these plants are normally used for tea, and asks MC to smell them. MC either says the plant smells good, or that the scent is familiar. Barbatos responds either that he chose plants that are calming, or compliments MC's memory. For his lesson plan, Barbatos says that he wants students to brew tea, and makes a connection between how potions and tea are created. MC can compliment the idea, to which Barbatos says he hopes to assuage the students with a positive lab experience. The experiment begins with Barbatos giving instructions on harvesting the tea leaves, where MC can ask if there is anything dangerous they should look out for. Barbatos assured MC he chose plants with a typically calm temperament, but then suddenly tells MC to stop what they are doing.

Barbatos orders MC to slowly back away from the plant. If MC asks if they messed up, Barbatos assures them they didn't. He explains that the plant is a Hell camellia, and it was attempting to spray poison at MC. He says the plants are usually well-behaved, but there is the occasional plant with a "rebellious temperament." Barbatos scolds and threatens the plant for its behavior, and MC either comments on his scary smile, or asks if the plant is safe to be around now.
Either way, Barbatos says he will harvest from this plant himself, but then the two notice the plant behind the one being reprimanded had wilted. He thinks he might have scared the plant, and ask MC what they think should be done to help the plant. If MC suggests talking to it nicely, Barbatos explains his actions to the plant, and pledges to act nicely to it as long as it doesn't attack MC. Things are resolved, and Barbatos begins to harvest the leaves.

With the tea leaves picked, MC can either choose to make a bitter tea, a fragrant tea, or a tea that's well-balanced. MC then creates their blend, and Barbatos prepares the tea. Either MC or Barbatos then realize that this feels like their usual tea parties, and Barbatos then suggests they end their lesson to enjoy their tea. MC suggests either they go to RAD's cafeteria, or to the Demon Lord's Castle. If the latter, the pair go to Barbatos's room. If MC points out that no one can interrupt them here, Barbatos says he cherishes alone time with them. MC can then ask either to stay the night, or for Barbatos to kiss them. If MC asks for a kiss, Barbatos comments on the sweetness of MC's lips, and wonders if is from the tea. He says he will make a new batch later so they can test his hypothesis.
