"It's like an invitation."
Barbatos, Lucifer, and MC are finishing preparations for the Festival of Eternal Bliss. Barbatos and Lucifer want to make sure the roads are safe, so they are using paper lanterns to light the way for the guests. Barbatos explains that the lanterns contain blazing fin fish, which have glowing flame-like tails. They realize the fish in the lanterns are beginning to escape towards the park, so they decide to catch them for the safety of the festival.

"So they're pretty, but a hasle."
Lucifer wonders why the blazing fin fish would leave all at once. At the park, MC can either suggest using a spell or a pincer attack to catch them. However, they don't want to upset the fish or risk letting them escape. Blazing fin fish love gossip, so Barbatos suggests spreading rumors about themselves to lure them back. Lucifer notices the fish are heading towards the city to search for rumors, so Barbatos suggests splitting up for now.

"Anythin' about me and money?"
MC runs into Thirteen in town, who asks what they're doing. MC explains the situation, and Thirteen says that the blazing fin fish have started gossiping about the two of them being the best friends ever. Thirteen says that blazing fin fish love being right, so they should prove their friendship to lure them back. MC suggests eating sweets together or taking a selfie. Thirteen is happy that anyone watching would think they were an item. Afterwards, the fish return to MC's lantern satisfied.

"You're not fooling anyone."
Back at the festival grounds, Barbatos and Lucifer tell MC that the blazing fin fish have spread a rumor that they are rivals fighting for MC's affection. The fish have come to see if the rumor is true, and Barbatos suggests satisfying them to coax them back in the lanterns. They want to give a convincing performance, so Lucifer and Barbatos each take a turn trying too woo MC by confessing their love and devotion. Lucifer asks who they will choose, but there is no need to give an answer as the fish begin to return to the lanterns. Lucifer wonders if Barbatos's confession was really an act. Barbatos wonders the same about Lucifer, but says MC knows the answer.
