Luke and MC have just finished their Devildom biology class. Luke tells MC he's thirsty and asks if they've ever heard of the "Legendary Stupendous Surprise Soda." MC hasn't, so Luke explains that there's a rumor that one can only drink it if they complete a special trial. Simeon overhears and joins the conversation, although he expresses that he has little interest in drinking the soda. Luke questions him and Simeon reveals that he's acquainted with the store owner. Simeon tells Luke that he doesn't know all the details himself, and draws them a map so Luke and MC look for themselves.

"Is this some kind of weird test?"
Following Simeon's map, Luke and MC arrive at a flower shop. Solomon welcomes them, much to Luke's surprise. Solomon says he's helping out a friend of his. The shop's owner is actually a sorcerer of considerable power. Luke is unable to ask the owner about the soda because the owner will be out late today; however, Solomon claims he knows where they can buy it and offers to show them the way. Solomon brings them to a café and shows them a door that leads to the chamber of trials. Without further explanation, Solomon leaves Luke and MC and returns to the flower shop.

"Go get them, Luke!"
Soon after Luke and MC enter the chamber of trials, a tomato appears, much to Luke's dismay. If they try to run away, they realize that the door locked behind them. They realize that part of the trial is for Luke to overcome his dislike of tomatoes. MC can suggest he does this by eating the tomato, battling the tomato, or becoming the tomato. If they suggest he eat it, Luke complains about it, but ends up completing the task. Luke is more willing to fight the tomato, but the tomato fights back, so Luke ends up surrendering. If MC suggests the third option, Luke discovers that there is a tomato costume in the room and begrudgingly puts it on. After Luke completes his trial, the door opens.

"If you want, I'll drink it in..."
Luke and MC reenter the café. Mammon congratulates them on clearing the trial and Solomon comments that they made it out faster than he anticipated. MC is suspicious about why the two are both suddenly here. Mammon explains that he heard about the soda and got a part-time job to investigate the rumors and Solomon explains that the owner got back early. Solomon tells them that the owner of the flower shop also runs the café. The rumors were started both as a prank but also as advertising. Mammon gives Luke the soda, and Luke slowly realizes that it's made of tomatoes. The chamber produces a soda based on something the person who walks through the door first dislikes, and so they can only drink the soda if they've overcome their dislike in a trial. This is why MC also received a tomato soda, regardless of if they said they also dislike tomatoes or not. Luke tries to drink the soda but realizes that he hasn't overcome his dislike of tomatoes at all.
