Story Summary

monSOLO
"Fortune-telling is quite scientific."

The student council are on a business trip to the Human World and stay at Hotel Corvo. Mammon complains about how Lucifer needed him on standby in case he's needed, so he forbade him from leaving the hotel. Asmodeus suggests that since he's so bored, maybe Mammon should check out a popular fortune-telling app. At first, Mammon dismisses its credibility, but his ears perk up when Asmodeus mentions it's supposed to be accurate with money. Asmodeus also talks about how listening to the app's advice will improve your luck.

"So you do care, after all."

Thinking it won't hurt to try, Mammon downloads the fortune-telling app. He checks his luck with money, and the app tells him that his luck is very low, and that he should avoid placing any bets. Not believing the app, Mammon goes to the casino, and later comes back having lost all his winnings. He checks the app again, and this time it mentions how misfortunes will follow him around water hazards and places he could fall. Although he was careful, Mammon still managed to slip down the stairs, hitting a waiter, and had water dumped on his head. Mammon now believes in the app's accuracy.

"You're too impressionable."

When Mammon asks the app how to improve his luck with money, it tells him to hang upside down in a public place. He goes to the hotel's lobby and asks MC to hang him from the ceiling. Asmodeus notices the upside-down Mammon and hangs a bag next to him so people can give him tips for the spectacle. An audience does show up and throw money into the bag. When he makes some decent cash, Mammon tells MC to let him down. Mammon's about to blow the money at the casino, however, the app tells him that will result in disaster. Mammon doesn't listen to it at first, but Lucifer catches him and confiscates the money.

"Next time, I'll apologize too."

Defeated, Mammon tries improving his luck in other areas. The app tells him to reveal his true self to someone he likes during a chess match, while they're both in a tower. After borrowing a chess set from the reception and using projection mapping to make the room look like a tower, Mammon turns into his demon form and plays chess with MC. The two play until it becomes nighttime. MC will either say they now want to do something romantic with Mammon, or that they're tired of listening to the app. If MC chooses to say that they're tired of the app, Mammon will agree and goes to uninstall it, but will check it one more time at MC's request. The app warns of a storm brewing. Lucifer will then enter the room, confronting Mammon about his stunt in the hotel lobby earlier.
