"Let's make a lot of money!"
This story takes place in an alternate universe. In the Human World, Luke and MC discuss their recent successful mission. While Luke is happy that they've solved the case, he laments that he hasn't been able to do something more exciting, as that is why he became a detective's assistant in the first place. Luke tells MC that he'd like to do something like capture a phantom thief, but MC isn't so sure they'd be able to do something like that. Luke also expresses worry about MC's financial situation, but then gets distracted by a nearby café. It opened recently, but is already popular, so MC and Luke decide to go inside. Luke orders pudding but as he starts eating, he notices something strange about it.

MC wonders about Luke's reaction to the pudding, but he brushes them off and offers them a taste. Later that night, while MC is sleeping, Luke attempts to sneak out of their office. However, MC wakes up and notices him leaving. Luke makes up an excuse, but MC is suspicious, so they follow him. Luke goes back to the café and sneaks inside, but ends up setting off the alarm. As he's escaping, he runs into MC, who confronts him about what he's up to. But before they can continue the conversation, Luke hears a patrol car in the distance.

Luke insists that they leave and MC can suggest they hide in the trash or tell Luke to run. If they run, Luke is appreciative that they get so many odd jobs because it allowed them to use the back alleys as a shortcut to escape. The two return to the agency and Luke asks why MC saved him. MC explains that they trusted Luke's judgement or that he means a lot to them since he's their assistant. Luke tells MC that he has a friend named Simeon who is very good at making sweets and the pudding in the café tasted exactly like his. Coincidentally, Simeon's recipe book was recently stolen and the café opened shortly after the theft. Luke's plan was to retrieve the book, but he didn't think that they would have had an alarm. MC decides that they will take the case and Luke is happy that they look like they have a plan.

"What other recipes are there?"
The next day, Luke and MC return to the café to pose as customers. They talk about how Luke found a notebook full of sweets recipes and that it has a lot of pudding recipes and specifically mention the "Happiness Caramel Pudding." When the owner overhears the conversation, he rushed into the kitchen, so MC and Luke sneak back to follow him. Once they get the book back, Luke inspects it, but thankfully the book still has all its pages.
Afterward, the café eventually had to close because the customers noticed that the pudding recipe changed and was no longer as good. Luke thanks MC for their help on the case and then confesses that he's an aspiring phantom thief and got close to them so he could target valuable items. He also admits that he ended up having a lot of fun with MC which is why he continued to stick around. But now he's decided that a detective and aspiring phantom thief can't work together forever and resigns from his position. MC can either ask Luke to become their assistant for real, in which case he declines, or that they're interested in being rivals now, which Luke is also excited about.
