Story Summary

"You two are quite inventive."
MC enters Barbatos's room to find him and Satan chatting. MC questions why they're together, to which they explain they've developed an interest in tinkering with machines since their last assignment. Satan encountered Barbatos while he was out buying parts, and the two were exchanging spare parts and advice when MC arrived. They offer to let MC join and help them with their projects.

"The final products should be exc..."
Satan tells MC that his device is supposed to help him understand what cats are thinking. Meanwhile Barbatos is making a cane that can make things float. MC asks about their creations. If they pick Satan, he explains the machine will show a symbol based on a cat's meow. However the screen won't turn on due to an issue with the circuit. If MC picks Barbatos, he'll explain that by swinging the cane, it'll make anything within a one-meter radius float, but he's having trouble activating it by swinging. If MC asks if it could activate another way, Barbatos mentions he wants it to be user-friendly and can't compromise on its activation method.

"I want to make something too."
Barbatos and Satan begin working on their inventions. MC can then choose who they want to help. If they choose Barbatos, he asks them to assemble some gears according to his blueprints. He later asks how they're doing, to which MC can either say they're doing fine or ask him for help. If MC chooses to help Satan, he asks MC to tighten some screws for him. Based on how MC does it, they'll be finished quickly or still be working when Satan comes to check on them later.

"Barbatos's invention is handy!"
Satan and Barbatos finish their inventions and demonstrate them to MC. Barbatos goes first, reexplaining its mechanics while adding how it excludes living organisms and only works on items at least one centimeter in size. Barbatos swings the cane, causing the items around him to float. He then presses a button on the cane, to which Satan asks if there's a vacuum nozzle at the tip. Barbatos explains that the cane allows the user to clean without having to lift heavy objects.
Satan starts his invention, however he forgot he needed a cat. Not wanting to take one off the street, Satan meows, causing his invention to show a smiley face on the screen. With their inventions a success, both of them want to invent something new. They invite MC to go shopping with them for supplies and make something of their own.
