"Luke does like events like this."
While walking through town, Luke comments about the hero trend still being popular throughout Devildom. Luke admits that he originally thought liking heroes was childish, but then he realized that a hero's sense of justice and unwavering persistence was what inspires him. He expresses his want to become a great angel and protect MC similarly to how a hero would, to which MC will fully support his ambition. He then spots a poster advertising a hero contest where the winner receives a hero's costume, Grimm and a shield. Contestants enter the contest in groups of five, with two members who act as heroes to rescue their other three team members. MC will agree when Luke asks if they could join the "hero" roles together. MC and Luke plan to invite Simeon and Raphael to join them in the contest.

Luke and MC return to Purgatory Hall to greet Simeon, Raphael and Lucifer. Luke overlooks Lucifer's appearance and enthusiastically shows the flyer to the group. Simeon and Raphael naturally accept Luke's invite and Luke notes of the need to recruit one more person. Off to the side, MC can either suggest or invite Lucifer to be their last team member, to which Luke will begin to refuse in his stead before Lucifer surprisingly accepts. MC can further vouch for Luke's trustworthiness or remind Lucifer that Simeon and Raphael could also provide assistance when Lucifer begins to doubt Luke's abilities. Luke gradually acknowledges Lucifer's participation and excitedly plans to practice before the day of the event.

During their practice session, Luke denotes the event to be an obstacle course and specifies about practicing more for the three-legged race. MC can suggest multiple different chants to march to, while they continue to practice. After their practice, Luke brings sweets and drinks for them to snack on while he talks about his plans to become a better angel by referencing hero training regimens. He also mentions MC as his source of courage and hopes one day he can become an angel they're proud of. On the day of the competition, Luke and MC have successfully rescued Simeon and Raphael, putting them in first place. They arrive to rescue Lucifer last when they suddenly hear shouting from outside the event area. Luke becomes troubled when faced between choosing to offer his help when their victory is at stake.

Determined, Luke goes around the event area to ask about the situation. He returns and reports that there was a hero performance nearby, where one of the performers became injured and cannot perform on stage. They hoped that one of the competitors could offer their help, but with the ongoing competition offering valuable prizes, no one is willing to provide their aid. After a bit of deliberation, Luke begins to apologize to MC about their efforts to train for the competition. Without another word, MC undoubtedly agrees to help save the hero show with Luke. Lucifer sends the duo off by summoning a huge rideable Chihuahua plushie, and they save the show with a coordinated special attack to defeat the enemy cast. After the show, Luke reminisces about the competition, and apologizes for being unable to finish the event. MC can express their pride for Luke or agree that they had a memorable day, too. Overjoyed and motivated, Luke announces that he will work towards becoming more reliable and hope that one day he could be MC's hero.
