Story Summary
LordDiavolo
"I wanted you to consult wit..."
On the morning after Lucifer's birthday, the MC wants to give him another birthday present and asks Satan for advice. Satan is reluctant to do something that'd make Lucifer happy, but because the MC trusts his advice enough to ask him for help, he complies. They want something special that relates to his necklace, and Satan suggests something the reacts to both the MC's and Lucifer's magic, and that requires a password only they know. He recognizes that it won't be a surprise because it requires Lucifer's input, but he thinks the memories of working on it together would be just as special.
Lucifer
"Jealous?"
When the MC shares their idea with Lucifer, he reminds them that his birthday has passed, but he seems happy about it nonetheless and decides they should go with Satan's suggestion. Since part of the criteria is that it should relate to his necklace, Lucifer suggests a jewelry box. He likes the idea and imagines it would always remind him of the MC. He has no idea where one might find such a special item, but Asmodeus would probably know. When they ask him, he expresses jealousy over their relationship, but he informs them that the brand Devicci recently released such a jewelry box. However, it's in high demand and always sold out.
AsmoBaby
"Aww cute doggy!"
When it comes to purchasing things as soon as they go on sale, Leviathan is the demon to ask. He's disgusted by (and envious of) the MC and Lucifer's lovey-dovey "normie" behavior, but he begrudgingly agrees to help them. Sometime later, the three prepare to purchase the jewelry box as it goes on sale, watching the seconds tick down. Levi and the MC fail to grab it, but Lucifer successfully purchases it. By the time the jewelry box arrives, they still haven't decided on a password. Then, Belphegor approaches and Lucifer has an idea.
Belphie
"How annoying."
Lucifer asks Belphegor if there are any constellations that symbolize love. The Serpent's Scales signifies "favoritism" and "attachment", but it's not quite what Lucifer is looking for. Suddenly, Beelzebub delivers a bottle of Demonus, addressed to the MC, but dedicated to Lucifer. As it turns out, Asmodeus secretly told the MC of a limited edition Demonus going up for sale at the same time as the jewelry box, and Leviathan was in on it as well. Lucifer is completely surprised and thanks the MC. Beel thinks it's the obvious choice for a perfect surprise gift. Taking inspiration from his words, Lucifer thinks an "obvious" password is fine, as it'll only respond to their innate magical powers anyway. They go with the obvious, simple, "I love you, MC," and "I love you, Lucifer."
