The task that Luke was assigned by Michael was to report on Lucifer's movements. Luke wants MC to help him. They go to question the brothers first. Mammon shows up so they ask him about Lucifer and Mammon notices that Lucifer hasn't been angry at him recently. After Mammon they find Belphegor, asleep. They manage to make him answer their question without waking up - Lucifer gave him comfy pajamas. Luke considers the information important intel and a sign that there's something fishy going on.

In the classroom, Luke and MC find Asmodeus and Leviathan. Levi reports that Lucifer played a video game with him. Asmo recollects that when he spilled coffee on himself, Lucifer lent him a jacket. Luke and MC continue the investigation and see how Lucifer gives Beel a sandwich. Luke comes to the conclusion it isn't the Lucifer they know and that he needs to report this to Michael, but before they make their leave, Lucifer notices them.

Noticed by Lucifer, Luke decides they have to run. Lucifer invites them into the room and guesses that Luke was following Michael's orders and, as Luke tries to deny this, pats his head. MC confronts Lucifer about his change in behavior. He admits having changed and explains he was taking Michael's unsolicited advice - so he expected Michael to assign Luke to spy on him. Later, Luke is angry that he was seen through and is annoyed that Michael cares about Lucifer. He finishes his report, but for Michael's sake, Luke is going to continue his investigation.
