Story Summary

"Work up some courage."
Mammon complains that there's a ghost in the House of Lamentation and insists on getting rid of it. The others don't see a problem if the ghost doesn't do anything serious, but Mammon doesn't back down. Lucifer agrees on a search for the ghost, but informs Mammon that if they find nothing - as he expects - Mammon will drop the topic. The two of them along with MC and Beelzebub start searching the house. Mammon claims that he heard something and freaks out, but then denies being scared. Then Lucifer notices something, too.

"It's Mammon's weakne..."
They hear a voice and a frightened Mammon jumps into MC's arms. The voice, however, turns to be Belphegor. He borrowed a jiangshi outfit from Leviathan, assuming that a ghost would be more keen to show itself to a similar being. Lucifer tells Mammon to stop being so scared at every shadow, but Mammon claims he was just surprised. If MC chooses to back him up, he whispers a thanks to them.

Mammon is annoyed that everyone is making fun of him for being afraid, but then suddenly something sticks to his face and also MC's. It turns out to be a konjac jelly, as Beelzebub explains. If MC freaked out when the jelly landed on their face, Mammon offers to hold their hand if they're scared. Mammon wonders where the konjac jelly came from, and he gets a response from yet another voice. It was Asmodeus, who wanted to play a small prank and to see their surprised faces. Their exchange, however, is interrupted by Beelzebub, who notes that there's blood in front of Leviathan's door.

"I wouldn't be surprised."
Asmodeus suspects that Leviathan might have had some kind of accident, but Mammon suspects the ghost is behind the blood. While the two are discussing, Lucifer asks MC to go with him, and they leave the scene unnoticed. Lucifer then explains that the "blood" was just ketchup, but no one bothered to look more closely. He appreciates the silence when his brothers are busy elsewhere, then invites MC to his room. However, they're interrupted by Mammon running and screaming, with a much calmer Beelzebub following him.
Reluctantly, Lucifer joins them along with MC. A frightened Mammon explains that he saw ghosts of a bloodstained doctor and nurse, but Beelzebub points out it was just Satan and Leviathan dressed up to scare him. Mammon the pretends to have known that, but asks why Beelzebub also ran if he knew. He replies that he followed simply because Mammon took off. Lucifer is not amused.
