Story Summary

"It's fun thinking of surprises."
In Purgatory Hall, Simeon asks Luke what kind of birthday cake he wants and Luke replies that he wants fresh cream and fruit on top. Then Luke comments on the time and says he has an errand to run. After Luke leaves, Simeon asks MC for their advice on what to do for Luke's birthday. With Solomon and Raphael's help, they decide that they should make some sweets inspired by Luke's favorite things.
Once the group has a plan, Simeon suggests they invite the brothers and Diavolo as well. He will go ask Diavolo and MC is told to ask the brothers. Then Solomon announces he will pour his heart into making the sweets for Luke, but Simeon quickly gives him a different task. Raphael hears Luke come back and the group quickly cleans up their preparations as to not ruin the surprise.

"Enjoying each other's company..."
When MC tells the brothers about the plans, they are stoked and then Simeon texts MC to ask them to get Luke out of the house so they can bake. MC takes Luke on a walk and he tells them that he wants to plan a surprise too. Eventually, the two find a new general store and notice that there are magic tricks for sale. Luke is happy with the idea of doing a magic show and buys some items.

"That scene is too cute."
In the park, Luke practices his magic with MC, starting with a coin trick. The trick is more difficult than Luke thought, but he keeps trying. The point of the trick is to move the coin from one hand to the other, but somehow the coin ends up in Luke's pocket even though he didn't put it there. Then the coin starts floating in the air, much to their confusion. Luke spots a vague outline around the coin and notices that it's a skeleton hummingbird. Once they get the coin back, Luke asks MC what kind of trick they want to see next. Luke can do a trick with his hat or with a deck of cards, both of which attract an animal's attention.

"Leave that to me."
When it's time for the party, Luke arrives at Purgatory Hall and is pleased to see all the sweets. Everyone, except Solomon, made something unique, and Luke thanks everyone. Then he tells everyone he has a surprise too and MC announces his magic show. When Luke attempts to perform his first trick, swarms of creatures come into the house and Luke says they helped him earlier and are probably just here to watch. In the end, everyone enjoys the show and afterward, Luke and MC go to Luke's bedroom where he gives them a flower crown as thanks.
