Lucifer says that ever since the RAD Tournament was announced, somber balls have been seen all over campus changing sizes. MC asks what sport he will play, and Lucifer says he signed up for sombercross. He explains that sombercross is similar to lacrosse, but players can score by simply running past a goal line with the ball. MC agrees to practice passing the sombercross ball with Lucifer. However, the ball grows to giant size in the air and traps MC inside. The ball shrinks back down along with MC, and Lucifer doesn’t know how to get them out.

Back at home, Asmodeus and Leviathan are excited about how cute and tiny MC is. Lucifer explains what happened to MC, and Mammon is worried they don't have enough room. MC reassures him that they're comfortable, because the ball is bigger on the inside. Belphegor and Satan wonder what they should do, and if Beelzebub would eat the somber ball. Beel admits that he might swallow it by accident, but Lucifer refuses to let MC out of his possession for the rest of the day. This annoys the brothers, and they accuse him of being too possessive. Lucifer agrees to let them handle the ball, but only while he is watching.

Lucifer meets Diavolo and Barbatos in the library while researching the somber balls. Diavolo explains that long ago, there was a somber ball with the habit of sucking people inside. According to a book, somber ball accidents can often be reversed by using them in the same game.
Later in town, Lucifer offers to feed MC a piece of popcorn. If MC agrees, Lucifer breaks it into pieces for them. If Lucifer asks why they'd rather watch him eat, MC can compliment his jawline or the new angle to look at him. Lucifer is worried about the plan to play sombercross with MC's ball. MC says they'll be fine, but Lucifer promises not to let anyone snatch them away during the game.

Lucifer, Simeon, and Raphael are on a team against Mammon, Beelzebub, and Solomon. Simeon and Raphael plan to defend Lucifer while he scores. But the others want to win as well, and cast speed spells to break Lucifer's defenses. The game begins, and Lucifer goes for the goal. MC can either tell him to throw the ball, or run across the goal line. As Lucifer scores, MC is freed from the somber ball.
Later, MC meets Lucifer in his room. MC can say that they never want to do that again, that they wanted to spend more time small with Lucifer, or ask for a kiss at normal size. Lucifer says they don't need a reason to stay by his side, and his arms are always open for them.
