The Demon King is the father of Diavolo, and technically still the Devildom's current ruler. However, Diavolo explains in Lesson 7-10 (OM) that he hasn't seen his father in several hundred years, because he is "slumbering at the bottom of the Devildom."
Story[edit]
Main Story and Events[edit]
In Lesson 7-10, during a tour of the Demon Lord's Castle, a portrait of the Demon King was pointed out in the main hallway by Little D. No. 2. Luke then commented that the last time he saw the Demon King was "at a ceremony over a thousand years ago." Diavolo also commented that he hadn't seen his father in several hundred years, and that he doesn't seem to have any interest in the current goings-on of the Devildom.
As explained by Satan in Lesson 9, the Demon King was responsible for the brothers' ranking and "age" when they fell from the Celestial Realm, with Lucifer being the "oldest" and most powerful and Belphegor being the "youngest" and the weakest. Despite being the actual youngest in age, Satan was deemed the fourth oldest due to his power.
The Demon King did have a wife, who died while giving birth to Diavolo.
