At Barbatos's birthday party at the Demon Lord's Castle, the tea party has turned into a drinking party. Lucifer pours Barbatos another glass of Demonus, who hasn't refused a glass yet and is starting to look rather drunk. MC either asks if he is in fact drunk, or suggests he rest. Either way, MC escorts him to his room, where he admits it's been two centuries since he last "loosened up" and drank like this. He then asks MC to stay with him, and says that their being with him instead of at the party with the others is "absolute bliss."

Barbatos soon falls asleep, then Diavolo enters the room to check on them. He says they should let Barbatos rest, and MC can choose to return to the party or not. The next day at RAD, Barbatos begs MC forgive him for showing them a "disgraceful display." He admits not remembering returning to his room, but had a dream of he and MC lying together on his bed.
MC tells him either it was just a dream or that this really happened, and Barbatos says he's been thinking of how to apologize to them. Diavolo suggested he do something only he's capable of, so he wants to be MC's butler for a full day. If MC tells him he doesn't have to apologize, he insists, and says he hopes they'll enjoy having him as a butler tomorrow.

MC is awoken by Barbatos the morning after, who has laid out their clothing for the day and wants to assist in their morning preparations. He either helps them get changed, does their makeup, or if MC says they can get ready themselves, waits outside for them. They then go to the House of Lamentation's dining room for breakfast, which Barbatos has made special for only MC. The other brothers are jealous, but eventually all head for school.
Barbatos encourages MC to hurry so they won't be late, but decides that the only way to ensure MC will make it to RAD on time is if he carries them there in his arms. They do arrive on time, and after Barbatos fixes their windswept hair, tells them because they'll be in different classrooms, MC should use their D.D.D. to summon him if they need anything.

Later while they're on break, Barbatos is again at MC's side. Raphael tells Barbatos that him arriving with MC in his arms is the talk of campus, but Barbatos insists he was "just doing his duty." Simeon wonders how Diavolo is doing, but Barbatos tells him serving as MC's butler was Diavolo's idea to begin with.
After school, the two return to the House of Lamentation, where Barbatos helps MC finish their homework. It has gotten late, and Barbatos notes that once he puts MC to bed, his time as their butler will end. If MC thanks him for today, Barbatos says he enjoyed himself. If MC says they don't want him to go, they can then choose to tell Barbatos they love him. Barbatos then confesses he returns their feelings, and asks for a kiss. When he leaves, Barbatos calls MC "my dear master."
