Species Overview[edit]
According to Diavolo in Lesson 65-6 (OM), reapers "don't fully 'belong' to any of the three worlds." Leviathan mentioned in Lesson 35-9 (OM) that reapers generally keep to themselves, and are considered rather antisocial.
Thirteen mentioned there being a "reaper's list" in Lesson 11-10 (NB), which presumably uses some kind of magic to list the souls of those who should be reaped. In Lesson 35-8 (OM), Satan explained that a reaper monitors rows and rows of Life Candles that represent the souls of humans, demons, and angels. He also explained that when the reaper notices a candle starting to go out, they know that person's death is nigh, and will go out to harvest that soul.
It is also the job of reapers to collect lost souls of the departed, which as seen in the Devilgram Surprise Gift can end up in the Devildom.
As alluded to in Lesson 11-6 (NB), it's traditional for reapers to wear black, tattered rags. However, not all reapers do so, and Thirteen commented in the same lesson that other than her sister Candy, she couldn't think of anyone else who actually liked this attire.

Life Span[edit]
Reapers are capable of living for thousands of years. Thirteen is known to be at least a thousand years old, which is mentioned in Lesson 36-3 (OM).

While demons are known on average to be physically stronger than humans, this does not seem to be the case with reapers. In the Devilgram Western Showdown, Thirteen had difficulty throwing the horseshoes used to play a game of horseshoes, and called them "impossibly heavy." Diavolo had no such troubles, however.
