Synopsis
Summary
Solomon and MC visit a store where MC finds a box containing magical energy. Solomon purchases it, and back at Cocytus Hall, they unlock the box to find a number of trinkets from a desert region in the human world and a scroll covered in gold leaf. Luke then enters with baked goods, but when he tries clearing the table, he accidentally knocks the scroll on the ground, and a flash of light fills the room.
MC and Solomon find themselves in an unfamiliar house, and Solomon is now dressed in his Arabian clothes. The two step outside to survey the situation and search for Luke. There's sunlight outside, and Solomon determines that the magic surrounding them is familiar to the Devildom, yet different.
Nearby townspeople begin whispering, then Mammon appears and loudly questions the reemergence of the "evil sorcerer Solomon." He summons guards to apprehend Solomon, and if MC objects, then Mammon will provide evidence of his claim with wanted posters. Solomon informs Simeon also appears as one of the summoned guards who helps take the duo away to meet with Diavolo.
At the desert palace, Barbatos unravels a long scroll listing various misdeeds under Solomon's name. When MC is asked about their relationship to Solomon, they can either state that they are his lover, his apprentice, or deny they've never met him. Regardless, Barbatos and Diavolo decide to judge MC separately from Solomon, whose punishment is to have his magic revoked.
Barbatos presents the Jar of Magical Absorption and chants a spell to remove Solomon's magic. Diavolo then clarifies that if Solomon can prove his innocence within five days, then they'll return his magic. He provides quarters for them to stay in, and Solomon and MC plan to clear Solomon's name and return to the Devildom.
Normal Ending: While traveling in the desert, Solomon is thankful he and MC brought along the wish-granting toy parrot that was also in the strange box. With the parrot, their wish led them to a cave with Barbatos and Diavolo unexpectedly at the entrance and looking to join them.
The group come across a bridge, but as they cross, a plank breaks beneath Diavolo. Barbatos attempts to cast a spell, but Solomon interrupts him and holds his hand out for Diavolo to grab. The rest of the team successfully pull Diavolo back onto the bridge, then everyone runs safely across.
Further into the cave, they come across an incense burner, a stone tablet, and a pair of scales dubbed the "Scale of Love." Diavolo points out an ominous smoke rising from the burner, which turns out to be the source of this world's calamities. To stop future hazards, one must tilt the scale so the attached lid covers the burner. To move the scale, one must display "true love."
Diavolo suggests showing mutual understanding between each other as different species, and MC can either suggest to sing a chorus together, or hold hands and dance. Once either option is done, the group return to the Demon Lord's Castle with Solomon's magic returned to him.
Special Ending: The guards Simeon and Luke bring Solomon and MC to their quarters, where Solomon asks Simeon and Luke to verify the list of crimes he's been accused of. Both are doubtful of their accuracy, as no one has heard of Solomon's name before. Solomon thinks such ambiguity proves this world is fabricated.
Solomon then remembers the scroll detailed a sorcerer from a desert region, and thinks they were teleported inside of the story. He plans to retrieve the scroll, so the group explores the town's storefronts. There they run into Belphegor, who says he was just robbed.
Luke and MC chase the suspect before running into Lucifer, who apprehends the thief. The brothers recognize Solomon to be the infamous sorcerer, and the duo are brought to their home where Solomon explains their situation. The brothers agree to help, and Mammon tells MC the location of the scroll.
Simeon and Luke rejoin Solomon and MC to formulate a plan to explore a cave containing the scroll. With approval to travel from Diavolo, they head out. When they enter the cave, the group can either take the right path across a bridge, or the left path through a field of passion pansies.
Simeon then discovers the scroll, where Solomon finds that the scroll's story - although unfinished - ends in the sorcerer losing his powers and being imprisoned while his lover leaves to prove his innocence, but never returns. When MC is given the scroll, more text is revealed.
The story states that a band of thieves had broken the seal on the incense burner, which caused calamities to plague the land. When the sorcerer reported this to the king, suspicion fell on the sorcerer instead. The group finds this cursed incense burner accompanied by a stone tablet and a pair of scales. The tablet asks to witness "the greatest power" in order to tilt the scale and reseal the burner.
A note presumably from the sorcerer's lover explains that to close the incense burner, a kiss must be exchanged in front of the cursed object. Solomon offers MC the choice to give a kiss on their forehead, on their lips, or on the back of their hand. After the kiss is given, the scroll lights up and writes a happy ending.
Solomon and MC return to Diavolo and Barbatos, who apologize after hearing their story. They return Solomon's magic, and the scroll presents a spell for the duo to return home.
